Only did a placepot so didn't bother with the other race(s).

Some guy in Hassocks Coral put £35 each way on Fortification (25/1) which is why I included him.

I've never bet on horses in my life, but seeing as Ladbrookes kindly deposited me a free fiver to bet on Cheltenham today, I thought 'why not?'. I cheerfully turned it into fifty sheets on Cinders and Ashes. Nice! :)

4.40

I have cut it down to Swincombe Flame at 12/1 1,2,3,4 and Kentford Grey Lady at 12/1 1,2,3,4

If I can get two in the first four I'll be very happy. One will get me my money back.

Solid professional bet.

18p superheinz (£21.60) returned £115. Most acceptable start to the festival!
