Scotland v Italy

Post by Cardinal Sin »

Anybody betting on this?

I've piled a few quid on Scotland not winning, just to cushion the blow when it inevitably happens.

But if you fancy a bet on the correct score, Boylesport (whoever they are) are offering a very generous 200-1 for Scotland to beat Italy.

8-0.

:D

oh. and good luck England. And if neither of us qualify, hopefully we can play yous in a friendly during the summer.

a scottish friend of mine said they would bring back the home international championships if neither of us qualify. seems like a good idea to me, but this guy is prone to be a bullshitter.

still good luck to eveyone who is not russian, french or italian
nobody ever wins on those things.

That's class. If england can't win a tourament, we'll just invent one so we can win, and i bet norn iron would win anyway.

There is no gaps in the footballing calendar to accommodate this. Unless they reduce the premiership by two teams (the PL will never vote for this) or cancel something like the League Cup.

Not a big price, but theres a big tip for Whataboutya in the 1.50 at Punchestown. Take 5/4 if you can get it.

cheers mjd, but to be honest, we didn't really deserve to win.

The first goal sailed in after about a minute (after me deciding that 9-1 odds for them scoring in the 1st 10 minutes weren't big enough) and it looked like we were going to get gubbed. Then they had a perfectly good goal disallowed and things picked up a bit.

Second half, we were in control, and we might moan about the free-kick being given away unjustly, but our goal was blatanly off-side, so no complaints really. Still, my betfair account was looking at a peaky 8 notes, and now it's at a healthy 26.

Now, mon the Norn Irn!!!!!!

They matched Italy all the way. I wouldn't say scotlands goal was 'blatently offside'? (now forgive me if im worng - im drunk here severely!) It was 'Just' or even 50/50... I cannot understand how the Itallians got a free kick when the Scotland defender was completely bulldozed off the ball... shocking decision..

Unlucky Scotland.. Im English and proud, but I have a real close friend who is scottish, Me Myself could of Easily been Scottish (A lot of people here in the north west are scottish, borders are divided here) so really am a little upset they didn't make it.. IF they got beat fair and square then OK.. But they were robbed in a sense..

Scotland is an amazing country, And I know that already even though i haven't been there yet.. I WANT to go there on holiday nezt yr.

I was over in Norn Iron at the weekend with the kilt proudly on. Watched Scotland in a pub called Hunters next to Windsor Park, then stayed on for the N.I. game. Great atmosphere and the whole pub went nuts when Scotland scored.

I couldnt bring myself to do it, but on Saturday morning the bet of the decade was Italy at Evens.
