If I do as well as I usually do on the 1st day (ie. continue my 100% record getting the placepot when I'm in it) and get a few bets up like last year, I'll definitely be going down there. Mr Tipster will certainly be there. He loves that place...
We're still deciding on who our Gold Cup horse is going to be by Kauto Star is certainly ruled out. We're looking at younger horses or the Commander...
As for all the other bets, we'll be posting an ante-post bet, just waiting for these bastards to decide which races they're running in before we get stung with horses we bet on and lose without running with those rules.
Each day we'll have a daily tip. I was criticised yesterday for not pointing out that his top fancy was Via Galilei - the only winner.

just 1 problem with the placepots, the more people get it, the less they pay! If another 50 odd get it on day 1 its gonna bring it down a hell of a lot. This is the only case in horse racing when giving out decent info is actually counter-productve.... well, any case where there is a pool. It used to be possible to get around it doing it with William Hill since the money wouldn't come out of the pool it you won but now all bookies are linked to the Tote Pool so basically its shooting yourself in the foot. Perhaps someone can think of a way around this!? I don't think its possible but I'm open to suggestions!

My NAP of the whole festival is Menorah. Cannot see it being out of the places and think it has a hell of a chance to win Champion Hurdle.
It has good course form, and has won at the Festival last year when it won the Supreme Novices hurdle.
Not convinced by Binocular and although Peddlars Cross has done nothing wrong, I can see:
1st Menorah
2nd Hurricane Fly
3rd Binocular/ Peddlars Cross

Taking on seasoned hurdlers like Binocular is no easy task, especially if Binocular is on a going day, he's so good I think he'd even beat Menorah but Binocular is never a horse you can predict the attitude of. I don't like how McCoy screwed up the ride 2 years back, it was pathetic. Menorah is a battler, great horse and destroyed the much fancied Cue Card's unbeaten record. I agree that Menorah should place at the very least.
