What kind of thing do you make? I make decentish generic drum and bass - maybe we can write an ITBox tribute song.

Will have to upload my Word Up Christmas song - it has Mariah Careyesque warbling, hip-hop grunts, 'give-the-dog-a-bone' Xmas bells, DaveJon baiting and spoken word Word Up strategy tips - all performed by yours truly. It's truly an abomination. 8)

If somebody can host it, I'll upload it for everyone's listening pleasure.

sorry to stray off topic.

It is absolutely real - as real as my wax uncle and the pants on my head.

No, honestly, it is very real. All I need is a place to put it on the interweb and you can all be inspired to new heights of quiz machine mediocrity by its unemulatable excellence.

Bob, that is triumphantly sad.

could it not replace your (frankly rather poor) VB national anthem on Ernest's website?

Yes, and, perhaps. Ernest wasn't too keen on it, as it humiliates his effort.

I also think he doesn't like the increasing commercialisation of Christmas by semi-professional quiz machine players, especially in summertime.

hmm that sucks - I hadn't tried to d'l it myself as I'm on dial-up and had spent long enough uploading it in the first place. Will put it somewhere else.

If anyone knows anywhere that allows hosting and free d'ls, then pls tell me!

Worked fine for me though I had to click a number of different options before it worked. You could try
http://rapidshare.de/ which I think is better for the downloader.

Thanks VB, it gave me a laugh!

Heh heh, brilliant! :)

I find myself into so many different styles that I end up sitting infront of a blank 'Sonar' screen scratching my head and watching the cat catch a bird in the garden... 'Writers' block' is the single most annoying thing. And the more you think about it, the worse it gets...

Main Influences, however:

- Delerium
- Robert Miles (more recent obscure stuff)
- Lunik
- Conjure One

Most music that even sniffs of 'the charts' pisses me off nowadays... Although the appearance of more 'real' bands is a good thing, and I'm impressed with 'Melted Cheese Face*' Keane as I didn't realise they don't actually use any guitars in their music, but it sounds like they use two or three!

*Quoted from the best selling book: "Is it Just Me, or is Everything Shit?"

:)
"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."

Word Up song lyrics:

[Chorus]
Been many years playing Word Up
On the IT Box
Been many years bobbing away
And I still ain't lost
Been many years heading up those scores
Showing them who's boss
Been many years playing Word Up
On the IT Box

[Bob's Xmas message]
To all those Bob fans out there
I hope you have a great Christmas
Keep the grid square
Make sure you pair up those Qs and Us
(Apart from QWERTY)
And, always remember:
When it comes to the end
Keep your head
Or else you'll be dead

[Parting shot]
2070 - too good! [the song showing its age]
Wiz, we shat on you
Keble gays, we shat on you
Dave and Jon, we shat on you

Who's going to be next to make a musical tribute to their favourite SWP game? Bring on the fruitchat compilation album. 8)

Yeah, I had a flurry of productivity a few months ago - polished off some tunes and sent demos off, but haven't done anything since due to a complete lack of inspiration. I should get a page on the net and post my 'proper' stuff up, really. Have you got one, Matt?

I just managed to make it work. Have to say it is half decent Bob, well done. Can't see it getting to number one though.
Surely it is an itbox (to rhyme with shit) rather than an itbox (to rhyme with shite) ?
I especially enjoyed the Christmas bells :D

Not got a web page / site yet at all. I really should get around to that too! I've only ever finished two or three pieces that I am satisfied with... :( I find myself starting, losing interest in it, and re-starting again...
