Is it really HIM? (Celebrity Millionaire)

Given that the same photos are used on both the questions for 200 and 4000 points and in the money round at the end, you can sometimes see a photo cropping up several times at the end before realising who it actually is, when a question about that celebrity finally makes it obvious. Two that have really caught me out were:
(i) Bob Holness - surely that is Norman Wisdom?!
(ii) Lloyd Grossman - an unusual close-up that I just could never place
I also don't think I'd had recognised the photo of Jasper Carrott had I not seen him recently on Goldenballs.
Can someone help with another photo that crops up a lot - it's a male singer with longish hair and for ages I thought it was a young Bruce Springsteen. I then wondered if it was Chris Martin of Coldplay but since I've had a question about that photo that would seem to contradict that. Can anyone help or am I finally going mad?

It's not Leo Sayer but it's possible that it is James Blunt. What I need is an image "search engine" that can work like those phone services that can recognise a tune when you hum it down the line to them. Although given that that would have to "read" the mental picture I have of this image, the technology might be a little way off yet.
While also means I don't know of a way of identifying your current photo, Istenem, other than asking you directly - who IS that?

I have been wondering the same thing for a while!

This afternoon I have actually managed to invent that wonderful image search engine I envisaged earlier and have discovered that Istenem's avatar is Soetkin Baptist, who was Belgium's entry in this year's Eurovision Song Contest. I don't know why but I was convinced that she looked like a stand-up comedienne, although I couldn't pin down whether I thought she looked like a specific comedienne or just had the general look of one (whatever that is).
Legal disclaimer - some parts of this post may not actually be true.

She looks a bit Eurovision.
She also looks a bit do-able, but I wasn't going to say that in case she turned out to be a transexual or something.

I got big-time skanked today (I was going for a 10er) for placing the punters in order of how old they looked.
Of course, given that Freddie Mercury popped his clogs a good while back (and the photo shown was an old one) I got handed my arse on a platter. Subsequent attempts couldn't recreate the fortunate run of questions I had.
Ah well.

Ben Kingsley always trips me up on this - he is much younger than I imagine, I guess because I remember him as being old in Gandhi which was (gulp) nearly 30 years ago! William Roache (Ken Barlow) is another one - I always think he's younger than he actually is, but here there's no excuse as I ought to have a helpful cultural reference, namely that he appeared in the first episode of Coronation Street nearly (double gulp) 50 years ago.
In other news, I still haven't identified the mystery singer - I did think Chris Martin was the most likely answer but unless there is more than one photo of some of the celebrities, which I don't think is the case, that can't be right as there is a different photo of him in relation to a question about which film star he married in 2003.

Regarding the issue of more than one photo of the same sleb, I've seen a couple of Matt Lucas despite there supposedly being only one gay in the village. Unless my memory's playing tricks there's a beturbanned profile pic as well as a 'straight' photo of him. Also noticed two pictures for J. Nicholson - a grizzled depiction and an even more grizzled depiction. On this basis then your mystery singer might still be Mr Paltrow, who currently happens to be kicking Kanye West's butt in the town centre.
If it's the same picture that I'm thinking of then the longish hair checks out, slightly covers his face which is in semi-profile to the right, head slightly down(?) with lifted mic. At first I considered Chris Martin on the same grounds as your question-picture reasoning but then I thought Richard Ashcroft could also be a contender here. If it does turn out to be Mr Verve then I'll have to get Lance Armstrong to give him a backie across my local bridge.
James Blunt is a possibility, though (a) I think he's too busy with his guitar to be holding a mic when he's warbling, and (b) if it is him in the picture that I'm thinking of then it would be Blunt picture #2.
Another poser: Who is the curly grey-haired beardy testicle guy?

Call off the dogs. It's James Morrison, in a photo that looks very similar to this one:
The clue was a question about him appearing at the Concert for Diana. A good quiz question for the future about him - which pop star has the real name James CATCHPOLE?
Now I just have to work out who you mean by "the curly grey-haired beardy testicle guy"...
