Apoligies if this has been asked, if you go on a quiz machine and both DOND and bullseye are playing really well or any 2 games, will hammering the first one effect the state of play on the second?? or are they completly seperate?
i'd be interested to know how much a quiz player can make on a decent day too, if anyone is willing too divulge?

the analogy for a multigame SWP cabinet is that of a pub with 10 fruit machines:
if one machine is not in a good mood, it doesn't affect the others directly but, it would be reasonable to assume that somebody quite good has been nearby recently and probably played more than one machine.

nobody ever wins on those things.

Istenem has summed it up (or should that be Word-ed up!) perfectly...
I'm probably in the equivalent of the Blue Square North division in football when it comes to 'Swippers', but I frequently get my pint money plus maybe a pound or two more back.

"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."
Yes, I think Istenem's point is a good one. Definitely separate banks between games on a multi-play cabinet, but a good deal of correlation between whether they are paying well or not. I'd also say that games which offer separate 50p / £1 plays have separate banks for each version (thoughts on this appreciated).
It's difficult to say how much a good player would be making at the moment. I regard myself as a good player, but I'm only a part-timer and I've seen one or two true professionals in my time whose skills have to be seen to be believed. But at the moment I think things are still pretty good - I'm making enough from one or two hours play a day to mean I rarely have to get day-to-day cash requirements from out of the bank - so better players than I putting in a ten or twelve hour day five or six days a week must be making significant sums. Key point probably is that none of this can be relied upon - just eighteen months ago or so things were really pretty tight and I was certainly feeling pleased if I emerged a few pounds up after an hour's machining. We could return to those days easily.

Certainly the WUGM and Bully double money seemd to operate independentlygrecian wrote:Yes, I think Istenem's point is a good one. TIOLI and Great Pretender as well. Was wondering about Jiggy Bank - not played it enough to form a clear view yet.Northern Monkey wrote:Certainly the WUGM and Bully double money seemd to operate independentlygrecian wrote:Yes, I think Istenem's point is a good one. the only such beast which i play with any frequency is japseye (on paragons if it makes a difference). it seems very much to me that, once the £1 game has been aced (on say 401), any tentative forays into 50p are noticeably tricky (801 with tough Qs). so i do think there is some cross-compensation with this one. when WU was multi-stake, each game was definitely separate. so maybe it varies according to the programming of individual games.grecian wrote: I'd also say that games which offer separate 50p / £1 plays have separate banks for each version (thoughts on this appreciated).

It is mind-rotting when you do it, however.. (after a while you move to autopilot and switch off totally).grecian wrote:I'm making enough from one or two hours play a day to mean I rarely have to get day-to-day cash requirements from out of the bank - so better players than I putting in a ten or twelve hour day five or six days a week must be making significant sums.

that would suit me very well. yesterday i played two paragons at lunchtime and made about £30 profit after food & a coke. played an itbox after work with a couple of pints and didn't even break evendmac wrote:What if every itbox is replaced by a Paragon?

but if it were to happen, there are certain people who would get very good at the paragon games very quickly. at the moment i get the feeling that proper players in London have such a choice of venues that they just ignore the paragons and go to find the next itbox. this suits me very well too

nobody ever wins on those things.
