peculiar new(?) machine

happened upon this machine the other day. it had a similar menu to those crappy non-payout bartop megatouch machines but with win potential.
looked to be a prototype of sorts. it didn't have any word games but it was worth a quid to see what it is like.

all the games were skill (cards, balls, fruitix etc.) except for a very simple quiz game: pyramid structure, nothing to merit comment.

unfo' the pub had run out of beer so i didn't stay in there long and their itbox hadn't been played by anyone good so i needed to smash and grab.

i dare say that none of us has ever touched the megatouch button on the paragon but maybe this menu is transferred?

( i have exceeded my attachment limit so pic will follow)

fruitix! Beast! dont have it around here anymore. It is the one were you pop 3+ fruits and they keep dropping from the top isnt it?

There used to be something a bit like this up in one of the pubs on the main road in Whetstone - definitely been discussed on here before. Allowed cash winnings but was devilishly difficult.

i know the one you mean in whetstone Grecian (in that boozer with a games room at the back?) but this was a different beast. i only played one game of the Q&A pyramid thing and it coughed out £3 for absolutely minimal effort.

and yes, Stevie, we are thinking of the same game, whether it was called fruitix is a different matter.

Shurely it's Whetstone as in Totteridge & Whetstone ...?

Yes. A Mr Q's place on the main road through there, which I now am led to believe has been done up, so may have lost its machines.

I think I know where one of those is in North London. Will happily PM anyone who gives one with location.

It looks like the bizarre outcome of the mating of a Gamesnet and one of the new Paragons but it seems the correct name for it is a Megatouch Money Shoot:

Its chief attraction seems to be that it maximises carpet space...

yes, i am no lord lichfield. but this is an ugly terminal, when it paid out, the win tray had a metal plate dangling down. it is certainly not a new cabinet but an improvement on the golf game which this pub used to have.
