That's brilliant UP! I love these sort of things (even when it's not me).
Hope you don't mind me embedding the image on the page!

I had a Cardinal Q on FFQ tonight. Probably been mentioned before but it was the "six lines written by the hand of the most honest of men" quote

Wasn't there loads of fruitchat names dropped into a football quiz?

No idea. I only know two pubs that have it (O'neill's in Earls Court & the Bent Doctor) so hardly ever play. I think Satis's best score- which he posted on here a few weeks back- is far higher than I ever managed.

i can't find that post despite looking through the archives.
so i'm going to tentatively suggest that this is the top score. i for one have never seen anything over 17xx

When Football Crazy first came out I got an 1895. If you could find one that had never been played it was ridiculously easy.

agreed but you need to fluke a couple of spoilers to get that far: footy fun (4) / footy phrases (4) / all about football (5) is not much of a choice.
i'll admit that my 2325 was wind-assisted

2325's absolutely top notch. My best was 1800 at the SWP battleground of the Old Bell at Ludgate Circus. I think Nil Satis had managed a 20xx or a 21xx - no doubt he will remind us. I don't think I've ever seen anything above 18xx anywhere but as dmac says it's not in *that* many places any more.

By memory it was a 21xx; it was definitely in O'Neills in Reading and only a couple of months ago. The silly thing was that (as often is the case with these things), I didn't really play any more skilfully than normal - it gave me something like two Triple Points on 250s in succession to start the game off and after that it was just a case of seeing how far I could push it. What was also typical is that I only won a few quid for it - has anyone EVER won above about £5 on that game?!
Never mind all that however, my true hall of fame moment came on Hells Bells last night:
Q. What does the phrase "Nil Satis Nisi Optimum" mean?
A. Nothing but the best is good enough
B. A pseudonym of unknown origin (i.e. a
double tribute to here!)
C. A knowledgeable quizzer (can't remember the exact words)

I'm yet to get a question about Streakypoos, I was told it was the phrase is some football quiz a while back. Could you program it in the easy section please?
Example:
Q: What is 1+1?
A: 2
B: Blue
C: 3
D: Streakypoos
However as I only ever play Deal or no Deal - No boxes, I doubt I'll ever see it. I'm too stupid to answer questions.
