Fruit Machine Chat

those of you who are my facebook friends will know this already but i killed two more today.

after visiting a dear friend in hospital i went for a pint and some SWPing. only shitboxes to be found. one of my those i slew gave the normal "hopper unable to pay £xx" but the other was something i'd never seen before. i stuck in £7.00 change and took the free money; collected £14 (i still can't make TIOLI work) and went for a cheeky fag. when i got back inside the battlecruiser i put the £14 back in (plus 50p in silver) and every game i pressed said "sorry game is unavailable"

to the credit of the manager she gave me the cash nqa. so i had to finish my pint playing the fruit which i fluked a win on and i killed that too. it was a grotty old pub but the publican was a dear.

is this phenomenon (sorry you have won so i'm gonna pretend to be broken) known amongst those of you who are mavens?

do you reckon this is because the landlord is keeping the hoppers low
or someone in your area is mullering them ?

i doubt it is the latter so the former would seem more likely. but (given the pub in question) i doubt that too.
it was hardly a large sum but for whichever reason the titbox decided that i wasn't having it.

Which pub was this UP?

What do the titboxes look like? I never seen one, I don't think??? Do they look like itbox or the fatbox? I bet there aren't many out there.
