New quiz shows

It seems that everytime I put the TV on at the moment (or glance up at the screen in the pub I was in as happened today) I find a new quiz show. There was one on today called Decimate which looked quite good.Apologies if it's been on a while but I've only just noticed it now.I only mention it because I still remain convinced that quizzes remain popular with the British public so I have not abandoned all hope for the future of the quiz machine.

Saw someone use a mobile phone earlier to win on pointless. I guess this is standard procedure for the end game then? The impression was that they knew exactly what they were doing and didn't appear to have a drink! They collected their bank of £12 (including the fiver jackpot) and walked out via the toilet. Was tempted to follow, out of curiosity, as not something I've noticed before!

Oh, and quiz guys, let me know if you want me to change my avatar, if it's offending/embarrassing you! ;)

Not a new quiz show idea but a new tv series channel 4 could do - The undateables Extreme? It would pretty much have the same premise as the original, only follow quiz pros like Cool, Nil Satis, paragoon and co! Obviously it would have more leeway with regards to age gaps etc.... What do you think? lol

I think having a soft porn avatar says more about you than embarrassing anyone else lol

Bubbles at least nobody could say your avatar is pointless. Re: Quiz Show Ha Ha.but Nils Satis has requested to myself as his official press spokesman despite reports to the contrary to make clear that he is not or has ever been a professional quiz machine player!

I've never seen anyone brazenly use a mobile while playing the quizzy.I suspect what they were doing here if they were playing Pointless, was not using wifi to access wikipedia or anything like that, but they had a database of answers and scores which they'd compiled and put on their phone.

think he only used it in the last round, don't know if you get 3 chances like the tv program but his 1st answer was pointless! pretty sure he did use the net though, and he only got the answer in at the very last second!

Ok - yes,you do get three chances like the tv program, and some of the answers offered are wrong so there would be time to use the net to at least check if an answer had a chance of being pointless.Nowhere near time to check them all though so that's only of limited usefulness.

Ha I've been typing out a text before while playing the Quiz machine and someone louded shouted out "stop cheating!" while on their way to the bog as it was right next to them.

I suppose on the Pointless jackpot you get a fair bit of time to select your three choices so it's maybe possible to check if you've got a super fast Wifi connection.
