British Quizzing Grand Prix

Post by tonkarentino »

Was just wondering whether anyone gets along to these events. I went to my first one for ages at Newark at the beginning of the month and enjoyed it immensely. The next one is in Coventry in January.

i know a couple of the old posters are pretty serious quizzers IRL, i've tagged along to one or two London events in the past; the standard really is quite something.
nobody ever wins on those things.

Yes, I attend these Tonka - have dropped you a PM to find out who your real life identity is!

They are good fun and I would recommend them, although SWPs, with their finite banks, rote-learning requirements, and multiple choice, are a very different kettle of fish. That said, the basic skills are identical and I'd be pretty confident in recommending anyone who's heavily into SWPs to come along.

I can't make the Coventry event, sadly.
