If you could bring back any game, what would it be. And why?
If you could bring back any game, what would it be. And why?
Popped into my old man's local in Troon the other day. Quiz machine has probably been hired off of a regular who got it from ebay. Lots of older games on it which brought back a wee bit of nostalgia (none of them are THAT old, but better than some of the crap on offer today).
Deal or no deal - the version that felt like it wasn't 'rigged'.
Caveman Capers
Multi-hand blackjack
So what would you bring back if you could?
I'd bring back Mousetrap and TV Times. I doubt very much they'd be in many people's 'hall of fame' but I used to quite enjoy the gameplay. Oh, and FHM.

Of the last 5 years or so I would bring back:
Caveman Capers (for some reason I really liked the question bank)
Countdown (not very profitable but good for filling time in an otherwise burnt location whilst having a pint)
FHM (a guilty pleasure and often a quick steal)
Ant & Dec (one of the easiest (without a scam) to get significant winnings on)
That cricket skill game (I was highly adept at this and in a new location would normally get me off to a good start very quickly)
Original DOND (although I got bored of it very easy to read- still never had a £20 though)
Original TIOLI

Loads!
Top Of The Pops - beauty, elegance and a £20 JP. I worked out the pattern in the spoilers so it was financially beneficial.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - I liked the £1 one on the Itbox. Had plenty of bonuses and decent prizes. Endgame of guessing celebs' ages was less irritating than you'd think.
Ceasar's Palace - especially on the oval machines.
Lyric was enjoyable for me. Didn't stay around too long mind.
Unchipped old school Bullseye.
Pepsi No1 Chart Quiz and unchipped DOND.
Ant & Dec's Piggy Bank or whatever it was called. Decent enough fun and winnable.
On a less paying note I quite liked that Cops and Robbers that was square shaped. For some strange reason I didn't mind In The Grid. There was another game I really liked but can't remember the name. All I remember was the graphics were great and when it went into difficult mode it would ask you about the Australian music scene or Elvis films?

Where to start??
Quizmaster-the game not the player First game I ever cracked.
Fruit Machine. A descendent of the above. Quickest way to get £38.00 yet devised.
10 move Monopoly. The legend "Go Back Three Spaces from the Community Chest past Old Kent Road.
Original Cluedo. Just a great game to play.
Royle Family Ahem!
The original Wordsearch (Wasn't it's name but my memory is going!)

First quiz machine I ever played was a Quizmaster (hence the nom de plume). My first ever game result in a £10 JP (12,000 points rings a bell?) which ended up on my white shoes as Pernod & Black vomit. I'm so 80's.tonkarentino wrote:Where to start??

If I recall the first four questions got you to 12,000 and then it was on to the money with points for each correct answer pushing you towards your win.QuizMaster wrote:First quiz machine I ever played was a Quizmaster (hence the nom de plume).
