Do any of you esteemable gentlemen get involved with these king.com / worldwinner sites? There is not a huge amount of big money knocking about unless bejewelled is your bag. But, at the same time, it helps with the rightful redistribution of wealth from working moms to heroic Brits.

There are a certain amount of games where you don't get bastarded by questions about bill voiselle (although UScentric stuff is always there). One example: I was turned over to the tune of ten mickey mouse dollars for having never heard of bleachers benches.

But it can be a bit of fun and offers a more immediate thrill when the site tells you which avatar has been crushed by your knowledge. We are all desensitised to the CPU pyrotechnics which accompany a win in a pub, but I find that this gives a very real sense of anticipation, even if your opponent is halfway across the world and invariably daft.

Personally, if I can make it pay for my monthly broadband bills, it is worth the 20 minutes a day.

I've had payouts from one or two, but you do get some strange forms to fill in.

personally i've never had any problem withdrawing, admittedly we are not talking megabucks but it has been a smooth (if somewhat sluggish) transaction.

Often wondered (but never ventured further) if there's money to be made in these sort of games - giving that there's a high probability that you will be up against a bunch of midday-mums...

most of them are structured into divisions whereby you only play against people of a comparable skill level. but once you get to the top division there are fewer opponents for bigger prizes. they also have open tournaments and ladders.

i'd say it is worth an initial deposit of £20 or whatever. if you are interested Matt, PM me and i can refer a friend for reciprocal bonuses.
