play on words

this is not really my cup of tea as word games go. winning a few quid is easy enough but it is all about speed rather than elegance. do any of us really need a quid that much to whack off 300 letters in 120 seconds?
but i do like the programming whereby ten-letter words are deliberately put into selections.
so (given that the letters automatically refresh periodically if you don't press anything) you can play it a different way and go for maximum tens.
anyhow, yesterday i had three in a game:
COMPARISON
CARJACKING
BESTRIDDEN
no prize except for self-satisfaction.
i reckon five is doable, six would be a very good effort

I play this quite a lot.
Normally the first prize, the £1 is between 130 and 230 going up in increments to a maximum of £5.
Most I've had is £4.
However, played one of my "usual" machines the other day and the only prize on offer was the £1 at 300.
Two new high scores, one of about 280, the other 320!
Wonder how long it will take before it becomes "winnable" again?

I'm not entirely sure 320 is possible. I thought 309 was the maximum possible?

on the topic of no prize but self satisfaction, I was particularly pleased when I spotted KERFUFFLES the other day.

BLOCKHEADS today.
but it took me a while to convince myself that BOLLOCKHEAD wasn't there.
anyway, it is a good game in round two because you know there might be a 10lw. so you can play against yourself.
yet to see
DISCOUNTER
INTRODUCES
REDUCTIONS
but i'm up to eight 10lws in one game now:
CONGRUENCE
COSSETTING [sic]
DISPLACING
EPAULETTES
FILTRATION
FLIRTATION
FRITTERING
HOLLOWNESS
i guess we have all noticed that subsequent tens are in alphabetical order.

I've noticed your handiwork around south London Isty - and Wimbledon & Elephant were a bit cruel after I got the first £3 it refused to pay me then deleted the game completely.
TP has been on quite a few aswell.
I don't mind these at all.

I joined the 309 club the other day. Annoyingly, can't remember my ten. So let's say it was BANANAQUIT.

I'm normally a Pub Quiz player, but played this for the first time with my Granny's today.
I'm afraid we didn't join the Six of One club or whatever it is, but I was amused when my Granny typed in WORDUPSHIT, and it allowed it as a 10 letter word.
