checking a few sites yesterday was alarmed to find three guaranteed sites with nothing but empty spaces where the warehouses were once sited two of the sites were national pub chains as well not lookin good for the future

Worrying indeed. I've not been playing much myself lately, but haven't noticed any pattern of disappearances at any of the sites I have visited. I'll keep an eye out though.

At least the pub was still there. I've had 5 close on me in the last month, 1 of which was a national chain.

4 pubs have gone for a Burton in my locally frequented town over the last 6 months...

Here's how many there 'were', not bad for a small-ish town (popn. 95,000):

Chicago Rock. Not surprised at £3.50 a pint though when it was opposite a Spoons.

What a neat summary - on at least three of the main cabinets, particularly the ItBoxes and Gamesnets, there is so much drivel that the things are dying on their arses. It's getting rarer and rarer that you seen anyone playing them for any length of time. This should be at least as much of a worrying trend for those who like to play quiz machines at whatever level as the other main issues (pubs closing, pubs removing their quiz machines and the potential changes in taxation). The latter two of these might of course be related...

I always had quizmaster down as being west midlands based on the basis that he always refers to Birmingham City as the Blues in the footy tip thread.

I always thought the three most famous people from Grantham were Issac Newton, Margaret Thatcher and Quizmaster.

Hasn't QM got a shopping centre there named after him?
