Waiting game

Looks like the game developers are still waiting to see what happens when the law changes come in with regards to the lack of new games appearing on cabinets. A few of the game houses have already made moves on doing more skill and not chance games.

From the HMRC announcement:
"Quiz games played on a machine can be games of chance if they involve both an element of chance and an element of skill, an element of chance that can be eliminated by superlative skill or are presented as involving an element of chance."
(my bolding)
Is there any game of skill that doesn't have an element of chance? Snooker has kicks and fast cushions, poker has the luck of the draw, football has dodgy refereeing. Players with "superlative skill" can overcome all this to become successful, but the element of chance remains.
Looks like the jig's up.

Maybe 'superlative' skill means world-beating excellence rather than common or garden variation in adeptitude.

No but I would like to know why they are still being sited when they are going to cost operators more in licence fees than they could ever hope to recoup in plays. Any insight?

Are these new sites or machines that have been replaced with something different.

So your list encompasses the entire of the country then? They could have been moved about from other places. I neither know nor care. I just play the games. Why on earth would you want to know that?

If you don't know or care why bother replying? To be honest, I just read through 6 months of your "posts" (took me about 8 seconds) and it doesn't appear that you know or care much about anything including quiz machine games.

I would imagine it's pretty obvious why I wanted to know. I am interested in how the industry is responding to the HMRC announcements i.e. what this thread is about. If they are putting new machines in then it suggests they have some hope for the future, at least.
We have a machine in our club but that isn't really my concern.
Anyway I re registered just to reply to you. It's not exactly the world's most interesting forum, so you're welcome to it.
