In London yesterday, went to Leicester Sq area to plant flags on some much visited machines.

Moon Under Water, 1886
Green Horn and French Man, 1921
Marquis of Granby 1972 (Aesthetically, 403)

I'm afraid also that we've pushed unknown's score down to 9th at the MofG, but we didn't have the heart to push it off entirely. Balloonists is still the second longest word though.

EWQ, you sir are a mean, base and despicable coward. i only rarely go into the MoG because the beer is iffy. but on your next smash&grab to London i will have reclaimed the topspot, make no mistake.

No, but I did get the chance to sit freezing my nuts off for an hour at Harlow Town station waiting for delayed trains...

i might resurrect my plans for the 20 letter word, that'll learn you. NB i went for a scout to the GM&FH, you've blasted me out of the water on WU but i nicked a couple of quid off WW and a cheeky fiver on the old, old favourite we daren't mention by name.

Is it my imagination or has WW got faster (especially after hitting the first quid)? I haven't managed to get
over 6000 (best is 11560) for 2 weeks or so and am averaging around 2500 now.

At first I thought it was because I was using an extra hand to stab words and that the processing power required to making my left hand do anything halfway sensible was enfeebling the unscrambling department of my brain.

Me and my mate Potts got QUIZZERS for 307 (I think) today in a pub in Picadilly Circus, the Leicester Arms or something like that. He decided we were called QUIZZERS too. As for WW that is whizzing along these days and all the letters seem to be Cs or Ws. But a cheeky JP on scrabble went down well.
It was Peacock with Rope in Conservatory, 3rd guess too :D

Good effort chaps.
I played 3 games today and cleared twice which is WELL above my average. Won £9, is it just me or has the letters it gives you got easier?
With a flukey £60 on S16s and a JP on legal Tender I'm £85 up today
