Well I can add another unique word to that list now as last night I picked up the pleasant DIFFIDENTLY (341/11) as ANGIE LIAM in Bar Radio, plus 2xQUIZZERS as ANGIE in the same place.

It was a massively disrupted mini-session, with unruly mates and a noisy pub quiz spoiling any hopes of concentration.

A great day for -TICALLY words today, with the 4 listed below all scored within the space of about 45 minutes. All scores as ANGIE LIAM, all pubs in Glasgow...

APOLITICALLY (420/12) - Yates'
AUTOMATICALLY (403/13) - Yates'
PARASITICALLY (416/13) - The Hall
TRANQUILLY (340) - Old Printworks
PRACTICALLY (330/11) - Yates'

1808 - Yates'

The two 13-letter words are the first times I've ever managed to go beyond 12 letters, though I must have hit the 12-letter mark about 20 times before!

I nearly had JINGOISTICALLY today but there was some filth in the way, so I didn't get the ALLY.

Put in a good Word Up solo session this afternoon at Greenwich Spoons.

I decided to discard my usual disdain for setting up words and played in a Fotherz-stylee.

The change of tack seemed to work: 8)

2086
2044
2019
2019
(both times in 25 words)
1976
1926
1915
1874
1830
1829
1828

ZILLIONAIRES
BILLIONAIRES
CLASSICISMS
QUIZZICAL
BEDAZZLEMENTS

Non-Clearances:

1783 (clearance might have been possible, not too sure)
1714 (didn't see the outplay in time - demi-bottled)
1636

I got a couple of sub-zeros today, but that was because I was trying to set up a big word and fudged it.

I have managed a 300-odd before trying to get a monster word that never quite arrived :o ops: . And got 2 consecutive sub-1000s in the middle of the good -ICALLY run on Friday.

By the way EWQ, you missed an ANGIE LIAM 1808 out of your latest web update - details on the previous page if you want to add it in on your next update ta.

Hmm, a QWERTY is easy to make with the right-most Q.
You should have used the cheat where you press all the Q's simultaneously and they disappear, giving you 100 points each.

i had both SWALLOWTAILS and YELLOWWOODS disallowed :( but SHAMPOOING was nice if only 10. after that i was disheartened so went for a 39 and got the best/worst so far with 1409.

one thing i'm curious about: how can any 39 game not be divisible by 3 (once the 500 has been subtracted)?
