I emailed FatSpanner to thank them for the machine and asked them a few questions about the menu page on the attract screen - ie the main screen the player sees before they put the money in - I pointed out that sometimes you had to play a game to get to another game - as it only appears in the similar games menu when you hve played say a card game.

I also asked them if I could choose which games appear on the main screen - as I DO have the option to REMOVE games from the system but could not find an option to ADD them - here is the reply -

"We are pleased to hear the machine is performing well for you.

Due to the number of games installed on the hard drive in the machine, it is not advisable to display the entire portfolio of games as this could adversely affect the performance. You would find that your customers would spend more time browsing the available games rather than playing them which would cause a downturn in cash box performance.

The main screen is broken down as follows:-

The top 15 games are always displayed and these will change every Saturday morning when the machine re-profiles itself. If any of the top 15 games are not played, they are automatically removed on Saturday morning.

The ‘New Games’ on the lower bar are the games that were installed by the system on Saturday morning. If any of these games are found to be popular during the week, they will be moved into the top 15 games.

when a player has played any of the games, a new selection of ‘Similar Games’ will be displayed (if credit is available on the machine). Similar games are based on the type of game the player has just finished.

The player can at any time select any of the top 15, 9 new games or 9 similar games when they have already played a game.

We are finding that as time goes by, more and more players are setting up their own favorite games account in the event of the game being removed from the main screen.

You can not self profile the main screen at this present time.

The next update of games is due around October time."

What a bloody excellent company - friendly and helpful - the reply took less than an hour after my enquiry.

'I'm a prole not a pro' - 'well over 30% continuosly' - Bit of a dichotomy here, tell us more!!

its the old chestnut %payout is totally misleading as 99.9% fill the games up and 0.1% take the % out!

well, DMAC is very strong on certain games.
i don't think we need take this any further for the time being. if he is overtly top 5 on titbox puzzler, i think we can all acknowledge that he is very strong and deserves a deal of respect.

if a game requires finite skill and the makers underestimate how good some players can become, it is repeat-pottable. even at pig level.

we know this individually and collectively from the sun's story about the mystery fella who was doing BMWC.

You really don't know how Open's protect themselves?

( Neither does dmac, he's obviously not that 'strong')

if opens needed to protect themselves from me (which they don't) the user-unfriendly interface has already done a very good job. i personally haven't played one in months, one of my localish pubs has an open but if ever i'm there i play darts.

aesop wrote a fable about me and opens, it was called 'the fox and the grapes'.

Lol.

Hope you haven't been having too many crashes, game refusals to boot, etc.

There was seen an odd sort of Open in the World's End, Camden today (they used to have a titbox) - taller than the usual sort with an elongated screen (possibly). It was out of order, unfortunately. Hadn't seen one of that kind before.
