Re: that list you just printed Hangmanfan.

Very good, and you should count your blessings too because iirc cryptic clues had exactly the same category but it insisted on you inputting the full name for the foreign teams...dear old automobili tourismo e sport!

Has anyone got a 'go to' letter on Hex if you only have 1 life left, no letters to work with and haven't a clue on the answer. I always go for the 'E', never fear it.

Didn't help tonight though. Vegetables for £1, no letters, 1 life left went for the E and it came up as the 1st letter of 8, just c9ould not think wot it could be.

E-------

Tried my luck with an R, nope.

Eggplant?!

Fair enough answer - why so surprised?

My go-to letter depends on the category. Countries usually contain A. Elements often contain IUM. Etc.

Played the 50p game today. 1st catergory Competitive Sports.

Used 5 lives and a complete phrase for KORFBALL??

I have googled it and now know it is a dutch game of netball/basketball played by a mixed team (should have guessed!)

I know it throws a few random ones in when near the money but 1st pick, I thought that was a bit naughty, just wanted you guys to know in case it happens to you. :? :

Seen a few weird Pub Names. 'Sally Up Steps', 'The Bucket of Blood' and 'The Nobody Inn' are some of them.

Also some strange Competitive Sports - 'Dwarf Throwing', 'Bocce' and 'Zorbing'.

Zorbing is where you roll down a hill inside a big inflatable sphere... although I don't know how you could do that competitively!

One of the worst subjects has to be Cheeses of the World. Yesterday I had:

-U--IN

...which turned out to be GUBBIN.

I don't think Gubbeen spelt correctly is that difficult, but Gubbin mis-spelt certainly is.
