If you'd not dealt, 50p would have been in the box - right decision on your part.mooster wrote:Played this today - left with 50p and £10. Dealt for £5.40. £10 in the box. Bollocks!

"Unfortunately you are all exhibiting selective pattern retention memory typical of gamblers. The programmers would not risk their fine reputations, making a game that was patently rigged to give you a poor offer in the box. Why on earth would they do this? The game is already on the front screen of the Itbox raking in money, they don't need to rig it. Even in this thread we've got one poster who says he got 9 blue boxes and one red. Maybe he did, the odds of that happenning are hardly astronomical, roughly 1/100(*). Unlucky, but then luck, I mean look, at Matt Vinyl, four red offers in four games, a 1/16 chance. I hardly think we have evidence here to start calling the game rigged. The fact that there are three questions at the start, which could easily trip you up is a good indicator that this isn't rigged. People always remember the blues and conveniently forget about the reds. The odds are against you, so you're going to lose anyway."
JG: Ok, thanks Mr. Pete. So there you have it, the SWP Big Reds is random.
(*) How do we work out this figure? Well there are as many red boxes as blue boxes. It's an exact coin flip, or 50% chance. Ten games were played, so there were 2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2*2 = 1024 possible outcomes. There are ten different positions in which the 'red' game could occur. Therefore out of those 1024 outcomes, there are 10 variants which satisfy 9 blue, 1 red. 10/1024, about 1/100.

i play this quite alot, and while i do end up with pennies alot of the time, it does tend to give me the £5 j/p fairly reguarly.
One day i was playing and 3 times in a row i was left with my box (i always have 11) and bizzarely box 12. the amounts left were the £5 j/p and a blue. i never swap boxes. the 1st 2 times there was the blue in my box and on the 3rd time i thought sod this and swapped the box. guess what..............blue!!!!!
