1609 gave me 4th, an agonising amount away from besting RICH and making it a Fruitchat top three.
**SADDOES CONVENTION CHAT ALERT**
Had the chance to possibly come in or about DMAC's 1675 on the game, but started spelling INVINCIBLE the wrong way like a massive prat on Chain Letters, then didn't notice it wanted a plural for SHEPHERDS in Word Search. Damn and damn again.

This wasnt in Londons glittering west end was it? Came across a centrally located v54 yesterday that was relatively nice (unchipped Bully double money; that crossword thing etc) but you had visited WS and the Gone in 60 was disproportionately tough?ggdr wrote:I joined the exalted 'QUIZZICALITIES' club last night, in the suitably glitzy location of Leicester Square Yates'. Then I arsed up the endgame, meaning I couldn't top Istenem's (extremely impressive) leading score.
To complete a triptych of bragging, even though this is the wrong thread for it: joined the similarly exalted (and possibly even more exclusive?) 1600+ club on Puzzler t'other day. And also staggered myself by jackpotting won In 60 seconds on an old Issue 54 last week. Whoo, U-S-A, etc.

Sorry OT now but yes was indeed that place (had PM from another member confirming location). I was with an Errol Brown look alike (non SWP player). The TIOLI is still there- I crapped out on endgame and colleague couldnt be bothered to wade back through the tedium to try again. HB still available as well- we only nibbled at it.

WORD UP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BELT
I played the mysterious 'S' at a certain location.
Results:
Game 1: me 2082 (QUIZZICAL, 28 words) - him 1317 (ZIMMER)
Game 2: me 2125 (QUILLET, 25 words) - him 1418 (QUICHES)
Game 3: me 2077 (FUZZINESS, 27 words) - him 1371 (EXPLOIT)
Game 4: me 1494 (QUOTIENT) - him 1340 (EXPEDITOR)
S suffered a little from bottling; I retain the title 4-0.
