Answer - Hilary Swank (born Lincoln, Nebraska)
Yes, that's definitely one of the ones I saw. My film knowledge is sufficiently shaky for my reaction to be "didn't know she's Australian - interesting" rather than "that's wrong!" though!

Yes, the standard seems quite appalling, tbh.
Love the true/false typo question on Golden Boot pertaining to the bid of "7 on trumps" (sic), and true for Henry Miller (not Henry James, that would be far too erudite) wrote "Daisy Miller".

On old paragons in moments of boredom (or 50p spare credit). Actually it's not THAT bad (Golden Boot 2 seems dreadful). Quite possible to get £5-£10 for not too much work when it's amenable. It was on itbox at one point but I can't say I miss it. I do recall hearing a rumour a while back that someone was able to do it fully, btw.

At one time Golden Boot had a very small bank. It was very doable for those who didn't mind the extreme tedium of the process and was indeed the subject of pro player attack. Some of us had much bigger fish to fry.

I am quite sure of the last sentence! Incidentally the true/falses seem to match those on Blackjack (now reincarnated on Opens).

Ah, doubtless the same band to which "New Reed" belonged on the long-forgotten (and much missed, by me at least) Skilltrek. There truly were some gem fouled-up questions on old Barcrests.. I've probably already mentioned the "how many ounces has an octahedron?" one as it is one of my alltime favourites.
Another gem from Jiggy Bank - Sir Francis Drake set sail in 1577 in ... the Cutty Sark.
A much more annoying one, in that it cost me a chance at a WWTBAM £20 - the Spice Girls Christmas No. 1 in 1998 wasn't Goodbye apparently. I've no idea what the "correct" answer is.
