second word with six of the same letter: poSSeSSiveneSS.
it doesn't have the elegance of IndIvIsIbIlIty but it ticks a box.

INCONSEQUENTIAL (Clinkers Tavern, Fareham) - with another L being adjacent, seems I was only a convenient Y away from matching highest scoring word ever (?). Ah well - next time...

good skills Jonesy.
i had CHILBLAINS today which was pleasing for a 10-letter 300 without any obvious chain.

Hi forum - just a quick heads-up! Long time lurker, first time poster (at least in recent memory). Not an avid quiz player by any means, and far from professional, but to pass the time whilst drinking I can think of no better pastime.

On which note, a new (old) quiz machine installed at a local WMC boasts the original WU - with £1 at a record 200. I have never seen that before. I may never see it again. £5 was below 900! Man, what a cheap Saturday night.

At 900 for £5 it'd be worth me getting the train from Portsmouth up to Walsall for a sesh - but guess this was a one off. How much did you win ?

Word Soup is on the itbox and joy is unconfined.

Haven't played it yet - will post a report of changes to the gameplay, if there are any.

If you type 'xbox live wordsoup' into google, the fourth result is profoundly disturbing.

Very pleased for you all chaps. I can obviously check at lunch, but have there been any other new additions to the ItBox? What has WS replaced?

To answer my own post, and at risk of straying off-topic, I checked a local ItBox at lunchtime (albeit one with a slightly funny recent line-up e.g. Jiggy Bank never made it to it) and new games were Word Soup, Megabucks Coffee, that golf game, and a new £1 play sports quiz game. I couldn't work out what had been replaced and it might not have been the best machine to check that on. The new sports quiz game looked OK but not brilliant - suspect there's probably a little bit of cash in it to start with but it did start rolling out spoilerish stuff at about the first prize level. But at £1 a pop and with so many sports obsessives out there it might well get easier quickly. Megabucks Coffee same as it ever was: let me qualify for the endgame twice very easily but each time rolled out some pretty filthy spoilers sharpish in the endgame. I also noticed the Puzzler venue scoreboard had been re-set at the location I was at - not sure whether this is nationwide or not, but can imagine it would be very good news for some players if it was.

Heard a rumour that Jiggy Bank has gone from ItBox, and a quick trip from my desk to my most proximate ItBox confirms that. Can't say I'm surprised to be honest, although it was nice while it lasted. Two other things: Puzzler scoreboard had not been re-set, so that was probably a one-off at lunchtime, and Word Soup had been reloaded with historic scores (by GGDR as it happens) on it, so I presume there won't be any free money at already-played venues.
