I haven't seen any of these yet but I did see something similar a couple of times on Ind:e boxes, i.e. two or three £5 fruit machine games as an additional option to the skill-based games. This was several months ago however and I've not seen them again.

As for the hopper issue mentioned above, there is a specific issue with one operator (Sceptre) apparently fixing their SWPs to be able to pay out £20 and then to IOU for the remainder. The fact that in these cases you get exactly £20 in total payout (this has happened to me three times in the last week or so) makes this even worse than what had been suspected, namely that the machines were only being filled with £20 on installation or after an engineer's visit - if that were the case then the total paid would vary according to the balance of winning and losing games that had subsequently taken place. This is more than shoddy, and one hopes that they will eventually be made to change their policy, if for no other reason than that this is no doubt against the manufacturers' operating instructions.

I get the hump over any gobshite to be fair. It's why the games like it is. I don't really like bringing past empties up at all. You never know if they may apply again see
