Eliminator

Post by Stevie S »

Played this last night with the girlfriend, you get given a topic and you have to hit 8 things from the grid associated with that topic, i.e. topic- fishing, and then you hit stuff like rod, line etc. We got a topic titled "Things you do naked"!! I remember thinking, "is this what these quiz dudes do in their spare time?".

Anyway, the girlfriend and I fell out over a stupid answer she clicked on when we were on a chance of a 3 juicy quid win. I forget what it was she put now, but we still ain't talking and thats the truth! 3 quid is a big money win these days for me!!

there are on occasions it appears double answers and also disputable answers but we just have to progress through play and elimination.

There can't be too many different categories on this game. Have seen plenty crop up more than once. Got stuck on bloody West Life hits which stopped me getting a decent cash amount!

It is actually a pretty good and easy game to be honest, although I will say the answers to some topics are open for debate.

There are quite a lot of tough categories, though, plus a bigger selection of right and wrong answers than are displayed for any given game, so you very rarely get exactly the same grid twice. I have heard some people are doing very well on this - big kudos if so, as I find it tough. I've got to the final round a couple of times, but never achieved a JP.

I'm shockingly bad at this game. I don't know why, I am just poor at it. Give me questions, word-searches etc. I can deal with it, but this, I really struggle. :o ops: 8)

Are you trying to get rid of it then?
Are you an expert at astronauts? Brain of Britain winners? Architects? South American rivers?
Easy to win a few quid if you find one at a low level, bit harder when you get your 2004 Olympic medallists, John Wayne films and its Level 8 for a quid!

^---This. It must be just the ones I'm playing, but £1 is almost always level 7+. If I get to 5 I think I've done well.

Stevie:  To be fair to me though, I don't play it 'overly often'...
