None of the above

Post by Northern Monkey »

Anyone seen this? Its on what may be a test unit (or otherwise constantly very up to date) paragon and was utter shite (not clear whether because someone had taken a win or just because it is utter shite).

I played a few quid through it because I was almost incredulous that something could be so poor.

The game is based on some kind of US presidential election theme where you need to win states through answering questions. Before each round of questions it offers an 'amusing' fact about the state you are playing for. Can't be bothered to review it further as not withstanding the fact that it is one of those games where if you get everything right you will be awarded the JP (only £10 I think) I cant believe it will have any longevity?

Haven't come across this one yet. Can't believe anything is as bad as Violent Veg. Never say never though.

Yes - played it.

Needed about 10-12 states for a quid. Each one 2-6 questions.

Won't bother with that again.

What happens in Violent Veg?
I'm not much of a quiz player(Round 3 on Pub Quiz is my latest achievement!) but I'm intrigued at this! Especially as it doesn't seem like a theme that would attract many people

Was this in the Hamilton Hall Fotherz- I was wondering about whether it is in fact a test machine? It also had the alien invaders reissue long before I saw it in more widespread circulation.

Is alien invaders the one that I am really really bad at?

Match aliens in a grid that can be connected within 3 straight lines?

Quiz Invaders?

Still on my local ParagonPro - I find that 1000 points for a £1 when almost every saucer offers 25 points is a tad excessive though.

Heh, yeah I was aware of that doubling-up bonus, but they seem to be pretty rare on this one. I take it you've had some success on this one? Had a few quid, but nothing earth-shattering.

The unit itself seems to play very well though, had decent money out of:

QfG
WS
DOND (£7.50 - best win for me from this new (read: crapper) version).
BAM
PQ
PLoD (This seems to be very generous around my way - never seen a £2 JP and it still feels 'fair').

;)

Have I dropped a clanger? Quids for Grids, where you have to complete a 'crossword' and you get a preview of the next question?

It 'may' be called something different then!

I haven't seen Quids for Grids on a box for over a year. Must be an old version. Certainly haven't seen one with Darts and Quids for Grids on the same box
