I suppose it depends on your point of view. Since I have yet to find more than the odd Kudos here and there, what would be the point of pursuing it? I'm only in it for the money - I couldn't give a toss which ones look nicest. As long as it's running Pub Quiz I'm happy, but Paragon's are my favourite for 2 reasons:

1/ There are shit loads of them
2/ They have of late been making some games that are actually winnable on - if you don't know which ones I am talking about you are a fool so don't bother asking me.

I find itboxes the most unreliable products - launched that Simon Says game last night and it took my 50p and kicked me out with a windows error.

Kudoses are alright, but they're just Gamesnets in a different box. And I'm not going to invest time learning a game on a Kudos when it's not in 99% of the locations I frequent.

Opens are my 2nd favourite by the way, for the same reasons as Grecian. If you can live with the intricacies of the menu system (although it sounds from Whiteswan that something new this way comes), then it's like the glory days. I've had some very good returns on these.

My last word on the subject...

There may be some confusion in terminology here. When I say KUDOS I mean a tall cabinet with the most noticeable design feature (not one I like admittedly) being a sharp-edged glass surround to the playing screen. The other distinctive feature is that the payout is in sets of £5, which I do like as it means you can collect in stages. Given that this is the machine I mean then the current games selection, certainly on the back screen, has almost nothing in common with the current back screen that it is on Gamesnets (the big cabinets with the large oval screen surround) in the areas I cover. That selection (the Gamesnet one) is utterly awful and almost bereft of any decent Q&A games - there are two or three different bingo games, four or five card games and so on. The KUDOS selection on the other hand has lots of good stuff that the Gamesnet doesn't and I really hope they make a success of it.

Apologies if we are talking about different things here but if we are not then I'd have no problem with other decent players sticking to Paragons!

It also rectifies itself if you play another game of FFQ, i.e. it will register the previous credit as you're playing the next game.

I agree that the KUDOS is very similar to an excellent GamesNet line-up of six months ago or so, which is to be applauded. I think I'd put it second on my list after OPEN/DICE at the moment.
