'True Skill Bingo - You have 5 bingo cards and balls are drawn out that you cross off each card - if you get a line it gives you a cash prize - could be strangely addictive'
this game has been around for years- the fact that there are loads in amusement arcades & even in the local casino suggests its not TRUE SKILL!
Fortunately we have a believer in our midst who has resurfaced right on cue, Mr Borg contact who says its definitely true skill.
make us believers too by illuminating this forum.

Thats the point I am trying to make - why not give a 50p and a £1 option.......
Unless you know better?
Dave
Quiz games have been doing this for years. Radio Times was £1 only and that was 10 years ago. Still dicked it though.
I've had a go on the new Open and noticed a few things:
Rocket Money - We found this game to be hilarious - the game itself was fun, and we got a few quid out of it. But what made it was the voice overs. I don't think I've ever heard anyone sound so unenthusiastic.
Family Guy - This sucked. We put about £8 into this trying to get to the cash round, and when we eventually did It gave us £3.40 - wtf? Seeing as everything now costs £1 what use is that 40p? Seemed a good idea, but the end game is just daft. We like how you can easily cheat Chris' skill game with pen and paper.
Hex Appeal - Gone (or is at least removed from my games list, so assume it's not there anymore). A shame, as it was nice to move to this if Maniac was in a bad move.
Hex Maniac - Now £1 per go only, with no 50p option. This sucks. We usually play £1 a go anyway, but the 50p option was nice if you're low on change.
Take It Or Leave It - Same, now £1 per go only.

Look again! If this is the new "improved" £1 a go Take It Or Leave It that also appears on the ItBoxes and Gamesnets then it is very far from being the same - the difference being that the prize in the end game is spilt into five pieces so that you can collect e.g. £2.20 after the first Take or Leave in the end game. In other words it's a very watered down replacement for what was a decent original. Apologies if there is indeed a new version which is otherwise unchanged but if it is the "improved" version then I really would steer clear.Cf wrote:Take It Or Leave It - Same, now £1 per go only.

The worst voice overs are on that Darts
The worst voice overs are on that Legend of Darts or something. Lowe and Bristow sound like they can't be bothered to finish their sentences.

played an open for the first time in months today, by mistake.
boys, oh dear. i say, is that you mother? shut that door. etc. etc. etc.
i could find the games i wanted to play because the menu has grown a brain. tidy few quid, and a visit to the only other one i know did the same. so i feasted on the corpses of forgotten moneyspinners for a bit.
but it does strike me that some of the very doable games are there with no obvious self-protection cf initial release: free and easy money with little cerebral input. if there were more of these i'd book a few days off work and buy a new cardigan.
