Sonic needs some tlc and a replacement memory board as I knackered it up
It's had a recent refurbed mother board.
Pinball wizard fully working but I think one of the lamp drivers is faulty as some bulbs stay on
Need to go asap
Let me know if interested and I can also email pics over

How much you looking for for Sonic. Does it work despite the memory issue, is it just a case that it doesn't remember what it has taken in / paid out etc or am I off track. Cheers

i think he will be referring to the processor board, which houses the battery.

these boards are prone to damage from leaky batteries.

Yep that's the fella
Had no sound when I got it and the battery had leaked so I replaced the battery and it's not powered up since
Does alarm though
Got another board and that was fu***d also
Had a refurbed mother board and new sound Rom and still nothing
Stands me at over £200 now but open to offers as need them gone
Thanks

the sound eproms are on a seperate board, the game eeproms are located on the processor board with the battery.

if the machine is alarming, leave it for a minute , could be alarm 5.4 ( ram failure) which will clear if left alone.

impact technology is real difficult to work on unless you have access to parts for test purposes. not a great machine to be refurbing at home tbh.

Every time you power the machine up does a fuse blow? What version is it is it the Hopper version or the tubes version on Sonic the Hedgehog? I had the same sort of problem with my one I thought it was the battery that late after a while of searching it turned out to be the looms

Got to expect it to be the processor card.

It's the tube version
I.do think the processor card is knackered
I will be putting the old motherboard back in tomorrow to see if that improves anything
