Managed to go past the arcade in Leicester Square yesterday only to discover since my last passing it has placed dividing walls inside and seperate doors and is now 3 arcades thus enabling it to carry 12 £500 jackpot machines.

Isnt this all a bit silly ....and not in the sprit of thee law which allows 4 per arcade.

This is just stupid ...how can they get away with it and call themselves law abiding and respnsible operators??

If these operators do things like this IMO they deserve to be given a battering by top players with their tricks and emptiers.

It's just them adapting to the law.

That's like saying "You're not allowed to smoke in pubs/clubs anymore, so now they've built all these outside smoking areas"

Been travelling round a bit recently, seen quite a few arcades that have put small partitions up to create a 'seperste area' in which they have a mini bookies with a few screens and 3 or 4 fobt's. Arcades are folding day by day and the reason is that the average arcade addict has evolved into a roulette/section 16 addict, and they are more drawn to the bookies than the arcades... the arcades are trying to lure in custom using the small stakes and prizes in the hope that the punter will go into the fobt section and lose a few grand... I was in Bognor Regis and one arcade had put in a good effort with the design of the place, I walked in checked a few fruits, turned around and felt like I was lost in a maze of mirrors, only to find a few seconds later I had somehow tried to leave but ended up in the almost 'pretend' bookies. I can see the arcades desperation, but I don't think people trust arcades enough to start spinning off £100 at a time, I think the typical roulette addict would rather put their trust/money into a national bookies...

It seems that for once, the industry is thinking outside the box...congratulations!

However, you have to question their committment to responsible gambling doing this, but seeing as it's an 'honour based code' anyway, they probably don't really care.

As for playing a roulette in an arcade, I'd far rather play one in a national chain, high street bookies, or even better, a casino. Wouldn't touch one in an arcade with borrowed money...

No was just passing, but heard they have 3 or 4 c 4's in there. Bet there isn't much in them...

i had all 4 ,(one upstairs in the concert room) with m8 , during that stag do i went on ,

i have since been told , they have all been removed .

The Sun Valley in Kings Heath (Midlands) is split in to three, with 12 B3's in there!!!

That's a tiny arcade. I went in there about two years ago for the Power 5. I can't imagine what that would be like, well, maybe like King Arthur's Mirror Maze at Longleat House? I could be wrong.

No - you are absolutely right. There is a maze of 4ft dividing glass all over the place. It was divided in to two until a few weeks ago!!
