So can someone briefly explaing the difference between a pub profile and an arcade profile please??

Certainly.

Arcade mode is more geared towards us lot, who are likely to force machines. Skill features are (apparently) offered more often, and they respond better to the force.

Pub mode will throw out more medium-big prizes more randomly to keep the casual player interested....which is why you need to be careful when forcing these. Certainly not as progressive as an arcade mode. More JPs are awarded, so they tnd to have a flatter profile than arcade machines, which will streak for more, more often (providing they get played/filled of course).
