New style refill keys

Post by JG »

Tubular style refill keys.
Anyone got one?
I notice a few big chain arcades have tubular slots for the refill key as a pose to the'normal' style ones.

Oh well, guess I'll just have to put the machine through, rip out the hopper, count the coins, put them back in the hopper, put the hopper back and then decide if I want to play it or not. What a nuisance.
Cheers for the info Alex.

Yep some are new Camlock ones that are only obtainable by the company that buys them, and some are just flat keys cut to a random number.

nothing at all lee, i went in for a moley tonight, no note, no refill...why pay 8 for a board that blocks at a fiver, when you could have keyed it to see it was 85 off...(was 3 off btw, made 25 on it)

ive never said they were totally useless crosb m8, for non note changers , but be honest , that can only be ( and im being generous ) about 5% of machines in existence .

on anything else ????? a key , at best can only tell you half truths .

there's been loads of posts on here , about reds redding up from outta nowhere when the low balance suggested otherwise .

ok so now and again , i get unnecessarily stung 5-20 quid testing a red , that a key maybe would have avoided ( and i emphasise maybe ) ,

but then you have to accept that the flipside of this means you have to ask yourselves how many times has your reliance on your key made you walk away from a flying machine with a huge potential profit .????

a key can only tell you part of the story.

and not forgetting the current shit hot on toppage of most pubs these days , its another reason not to have one on you .

each to their own , but i dont carry one , use one or need one.

like i said , play the program , not the balance .
