Union Jackpots - Mad Money Monster
Just noticed that this game is available for download and free play. It seems like they've ripped off Psycho Cash Beast - but it couldn't be further from that game if they tried. I assume its very early doors, but at one point it went £37 without a feature, bonus, and with very limited trail helds, nudges, etc.. (and the JP is £15) giving it very little appeal. None of the PCB cheats are there (the "future" cheats), you can't slow down Reel Magic (it gave me £1.60), the Taxi is impossible to figure out, and there is now a "Super Hold" square on the board, and the control feels poor..
All in all I was very disappointed, as i'd been looking forward to the site starting up.. Surely if you're going to do a site hosting games which are blatant copies (or appear to be) of old classic games, you would go to the trouble of trying to copy them as much as you possibly could!
Make up your own mind by going to UnionJackpots.com. The visuals are nice, and its well presented, but i doubt many people will bother to play those games if they are poor copies of classic games, with low stakes and low prizes.
Now, if they WERE more like the originals, then maybe it would be a whole different ball park...

Couldn't of summed it up much better myself. Except it's £15 JP not £10.
Also it says £15 JP + repeat chance but when I got the JP there was no repeat chance.
Also got Super series that did £15 then came up error and shut itself down.
Had a bad board cost myself. Had a hi/lo continue on a 5, press higher and it spun a 5 back in.
Very poor start.

I know - i gave up without bothering to get much further.
I can only assume that they are expecting people like the members of this board to help them bug fix the game, which i guess is no bad thing, but is a little shoddy that they haven't researched the game they are trying to copy. Its not a good start. And with it playing so badly, even people who don't remember PCB aren't going to play MMM for very long

I wouldn't call it stupid, quite often put JP's fairly close for nudges & it loves landing on the superhold square. That's how I JP'd anyhow.jesz wrote:. Stupid super hold square,

Firstly, the technology is very, very good. No big pauses no endless spins and the graphics are first rate.
Few points though (most of which have already been made). £15 jackpot would not tempt me to play, particularly as you can only seem to win a tenner on the board anyway (or did I miss something?)
I'm sure it's very cleverly programmed but I can't see how it would make any kind of legal %'age.
Most depressingly though is the gameplay. It plays like every minimum percentage, stitch-up hi-tech going. FAR too many mystery to mystery's, far to many pointless bonus zones and "one too few" knockouts experiences. It is incredibly annoying and SO predictable. I know most 'real' machines have these traits but somehow they seem so
prominent and so deliberate it's almost like the aim is to annoy the player.
The real issue (and the reason nearly all online slots are 'random) is that so much care has to be taken for there not to be any loopholes left open that the profiles are going to end up incredibly flat and a bit tedious.
Love the idea and the look is great. It just seems to fall between 2 stalls, the prizes are too low to attract people away from the BIG jackpot online casinos and the machines will be too flat to attract players.
....still, I'll probably have a few quid when more games become available.

Well from my first 2 quid I got 4 shots on the board - sadly all shite.
Wee niggly things that could be improved upon are removing the need to use up all your nudges before you get the bonus and not having the first two shots on the board Mystery then ... Mystery! Or getting the bonus and getting EVEN WINNER then not getting one even number yet not getting the bonus again... it's wee things like this that will make the difference between punters coming back or not.
Oh, and the taxi is a jest!
Still, it looks impressive. That music would get on anyones tits so you should include a music on/off button and perhaps a volume control.
EDIT: Keyboard shortcuts would be useful too. In fact, there are several other ways that the user's experience could be improved upon.
