May I ask why you and Demmerz are defending him?unknownpseudonym wrote:![]()
words fail you? got to see that the F word remains in your vocabulary though.
Did he really find an unchipped Donkey Kong? I don't think he did, and I don't think any of the other usual contributers to this forum believe that he did either.
If he was joking then fair enough, I will not comment on his sense of humour.
Your reply would be appreciated.
(I don't really like my comments moderated - although I accept the fact bad language is a breach of etiquette)
PS I'm having a male PMT day today so I'm being awkward.

I saw your original post before it got moderated. It was quite a vitriolic reply to a perfectly innocent post. I understand you might have taken umbrage at a couple of things Toothless has said in the past, but to new members, it would have looked like you were giving another member abuse for no reason.
Would I be right in saying that if anybody else (with a few exceptions) had made that post, you wouldn't have given them pelters for it?
Sorry for leaping in there Demmerz! Need to something to do with my new found powers!

Claiming to have found an unchipped m/c that an emptier has been freely circulated on the net for the last 10 years is not what I would class as innocent. It was either a joke (A crap one) or an attempt to "look good through lying" equally not interesting.cardinal richelieu wrote:I saw your original post before it got moderated. The problem is that if new members come onto the forum and read the kind of posts that "certain" individuals are making and we reply to then they also post equally annoying posts and all of a sudden the board is full of requests from new members. That is no longer a discussion, it becomes an information service and it is not what I believe we are here for.and pretty soon your "better" informed members will leave due to constant drivel. (Hello Superarcadia)
If other members had posted that comment I would have called them liars.(And probably lost a lot of respect for them)
I may seem harsh in my comments but personally I like to think of the bigger picture and not just "lets increase web traffic through the site" by letting chavs/idiots/muppets post lies and begging info.
Please see my side of the argument.

I do see your side of the argument, but his post (to me) seemed like having a wee joke about emptiers of yesteryear. He even put "hahaha" after it... not the most side-splitting line I've ever read, but certainly not worthy of a torrent of abuse.
If he, or any other member, does make posts which are blatant lies, deliberately noising other members up, or just generally being a pain in the arse, then I'm sure they will be dealt with accordingly.

I only stepped in beacuse your post seemed unduly harsh. There has recently been a glut of poor language on the site and you've been the unlcuky one that I made an example of rather than merely altering your post.
What constitues bad language? Well, that's down to the judgement of each moderator. Nothing personal

Still kicking about.
