the most built up to from a small amount

Post by greenbelter »

Whats the best result you've had from the smallest amount? About 2 years ago I won £400 on roulette from £10

Have you ever started with a very small amount, probably not even intending to gamble and then found yourself with a tidy sum by the end of the day/ session. I'm not talking about going out with a float and making lots I'm talking about getting lucky when you only have a small amount of cash on you. No doubt Matt B will be the luckiest here.

can't beat that - but I made £150ish from £2 in 1995. 1st machine was a 5p play Jackpot seven - rolled for about £12. Then I hit Projects Fortune Wheel £6jp - it rolled for about £90, mostly tokens - after that it was easy.

Ah, some of those times were the best!

A classic evening was pondering down to the pub with a mate and we only had a tenner each as we were just intending to have a couple of pints each and a natter.

Arrived at the pub and sited there, in the corner, was a Fireball. We purchased a pint each and had about £7.50 each remaining. A fella was playing the machine, but didn't seem to have a clue. We kept a brief eye on him whilst shootin' the sheet and he rolled about £20 through, which was falling on what sounded like a heap of coins. He then necked the remainder of his pint and exited the pub.

After 5 or 10 minutes or so, we idled over to it, thinking that we'd try the good old 'one board' scenario, bearing in mind available funds. Within £2 we got our first board, and the magic 'twinkle' sound eminated - bonus hot numbers up to 8! (For those of you that don't know, that was an IM board - NOT though, if you managed to get 8 HNs from the trail, they had to be bonus HNs.) The top went for a flat £25. But that was cool, as we were truly up. Another few quid later and the same thing happened again. This time the top went for £35 (I think!) We then had one final board which gambled up via the setup to LH - another £25. ;)

So, we were now both up by around £30 - result!

The next pub we went to had a Maygay Bankraid - which, to cut a long story short, did £100 off the notes at the top. This caused a few raised eyebrows and we just about finished our pints before any uproar ensued.

Journey to the next pub, we were both around £60 up after two pubs and two pints.

The rest of the evening was a bit of a blur, but we ended up touring a good few pubs and everything was just going our way. Rolled in at about 3am after a club, a 'decent' late night snack and about 10+ pubs / pints with £110 in my pocket (mate was the same, but well, he didn't live with me!)

OK, so it's in no way megabucks, but when you're with a playing pal, only want a few pints and end up having one of the best evenings - it's worth far more than the monetary return... ;)

I always go out with a load of cash, but best start to best end was i think potting a DNA off about £3 for £50, then snowballing that into nearly £300 by the days end.

mine was 3 quid for 750.

All started in an arcade when i was with the misses (who likes a gamble too). PLaying those shitty arcade games where you put 10p in and flick it against a pyramid bla bla.. Won about 7 quid all in 10ps - great ! so stuck it in a 10p red £5 jp (top giza, which went for 10 off about 2 quid, then about 4 in another red (forgot the name) for 15.

This point we still had a few quid in 10p's so stuck it in a lucky devil, arb1 first board so took it on, about 20 in for 75 out.

This point were thinking what the fuck, so went into the casino next door, stuck 50 on the roulette for double up .... ??? So then stuck it all in one of the 4k machines, which the misses got some crazy shit where she kept getting awarded free spins and random things offering hundreds, and ended up with 750.......

Good times

My best ever has been posted on here when it happened last year, me and the misses were shopping in town and i convinced her to come in the arcade and we'd just spend a tenner each, when we got in it was full of undesirabes so i decided to just stick it in the £500's and take whatever was offered...

From the first press of my tenner on 'high roller' i dropped the £500 and within another couple of spins i took another £350 or so, meanwhile my misses dropped the £500 on 'spin n win' off her tenner plus a few more bits, walked out with £1,400 after 15 minutes of playing 8)
