What would ordinary bloke do :
1) Play quiz....roughly 2 hours of free entertainment or the price of a sub £5 buy in for a bit of a prize at the end.
2) Play machine - already has the stereotypical image of being grossly unfair with regard to entertainment and likely hood of actually winning anything.
It does make me laugh when I see those blown up pictures in Bingo Halls and arcades of 3 or more girls all sat round a machine with smiles and laughter all round like they are having a great time.
Nah, Mr Joe Public is finally voting with his feet and sitting at a table doing the quiz.
Yes Mattb, I hate to say it, but in some instances, the FIRST thing people want if a fucking quiz.

Our local landlord has bought a 20p play £6 jackpot Luxor off Traylens Funfair. It takes more that the £35 Bully's Star Prize.

The only thing happening in the pubs round me are Poker nights. Either free to play or cash games, £5.00 up and over £300 top prize. Nice money with entertainment thrown in . Killing the fruits... btw.

see another punter who cant be arsed. I am not alone. No wonder arcades are empty now and pub regulars simply cant afford to play.

stakes and prizes are being reviewed in 2 weeks,in my opinion something drastic needs to be done pronto, the whisper is cat d might get a boost in jp size ,as far as cat c goes it's anyones guess.......

i hear they going up to £50 jackpot ? Surely another nail in the coffin if so ? Now if every arcade went back 20 years or so and had 77heaven cloud nine etc..... on 20p play £6 jackpot all cash. Then they would be rammed full. You would get back every casual punter going.

just for a minute imagine that the goverment concedes to letting cat d go upto ,let's say 8 pound ,forget about a stake increase though ,i don't see them allowing that.anyhow also imagine all those 8 pounders of yesteryear that could be accurately "classic'd" up,...................stop drooling now.but it would be good ,would'nt it?

manu's should go back to £25 jackpots and 25p per go, most average people can't afford to play £10-15 of credits for hardly anything back! i've always thought that 50p a press is a rip-off!! :x
