"Top, top, top players"

Post by Been-Grant-Mitchell'd! »

I saw on another post that the "top, top, top boys" get all the stuff first. Just to say that these people simply don't exist as such in the way they are perceived. I know i've had my turn as a top boy if you like, like high spirits, chip 'n spin and now a quizzer. Any player who gets something first or works something out is then a top top top player. Agreed?

agreed, a top player works things out for himself, or has the ability to look deeper into the workings of the actual programming and workings of the fruit. This won't always make him a top earner, but more probably a top player!

A top player is someone who can work a machine out by themselves.

A top player is usually lucky enough to have access to brand new machines & play them for hours & weeks on end, hoping to find "chinks" in the armour. Such example may be a lad whose mate is manager/owner of an arcade or workshop where machines are stored before distribution, or may be they are a close contact with the programmer. I also wonder how much the Directors/management of BFG/Barcrest know about their products, as once the machine is in the handsof the leisure company, theleisure company stands any losses that arise from faulty programming and not the manus, though leisure company receives critical updates free/asap.

Who's ever worked an empty by there self, ie never been told how to do it? some things are so obscure that you have to be told, i think you could probably suss out something like battle axe, but things like snake rattle and roll or lucky strike whos gonna guess that?

i have worked out a couple of empties by meself ,but only coz they was proper easy ones anyway, back in 'nam i sussed projects jokers wild MT while trying to turn a vast ammount of tokens into good ol' cash.by blowing out the jp when offered on a nudge (the machine would give it back everytime from then on ,you just nudged 2 quid in ,sometimes a pound .o.k i know all the old skool knew this one ,i'm just saying it again for the benefit of the younger players),this emptier lasted time,a long time.
also when mazooma were in their infancy they did a machine called reno casino, holding cancel on this would allow you to basically choose which win/feature you would like to get by using the holds to increase the stacks etc. this one however lasted only a few days :x

nowadays you'd be very lucky to stumble upon anything significant ,just ask the guy who's been pumping the monopoly and continues to refer to the top, top, top, boys in the 2nd person tense.

in my opinion it's a closed shop nowadays ,you'll never suss anything out unless you're given the nod on it.the empties have to be mega cryptic so the machines make it to street level and although the occaisional glitch makes it through .the programmers themselves have to protect their positions at the very top after all

snake was a "repeat" empty from years ago - raffle ticket! Lucky strike could be stumbled upon by deliberately losing the feature from a losing board. I've had a drink tonight by the way.

What was the Barcrest machine with the light on top that played "Blue Moon". If you turned down jp it would nudge every other spin for £2.20 and £2.40 on 20p play. It would streak for about £60.

When I refer to top, top, top, top, top boys I mean the actual people and the close associates who program in these emptiers.

You may argue that p1 wiyb was a 'mistake' hmmmm. Ok.

4 reel deals? power 5? Get real.

My point is when these were first released, someone, somewhere knew the emptier. That person is a top, top, top, top, top boy/player.

That is my definition.

have to agree with jg, "most" emptiers are minor bugs in the software, but have got to admit there seems to be a lot of "gremlins" in the bellfruit programs. is it because of dodgy programmers or because theyre that greedy they want the games out as quick as possible and not have them tested for problems......... not that im complaining mind!! :D
