Whats you're biggest comeback?

We've all been there, down and put and then throw a few quid in and then before we know it we are back in business.

I know this isn't fruit related but I was on a FOBT Roulette about 2 years ago when they where more playable. Anyway I was £100 in and nothing then I went home (because I lived over the road from WH) and got £10 from my jar and I threw that in and it threw in my number 25 4 times on the bounce. I made about £450 and got lucky that day.

I've also been 100 in a FOBT on blackjack and down to my last £5 and somehow made it back to £300

What's your greatest comeback?

couple of good ones for you:

was playing ladbrookes roulette..

playing and betting a small amount a spin, just killing half an hour,
ended up being down by about 50quid, shit patterns on the numbers...
there hadnt been a red number for about 8 spins
there hadnt been a number <13 for about 12 spins

so i bet £20 below 12... dotted all over the section...

spin....... 32

rebet

spin...... 35

shit... 90 down now, checked wallet and had about a ton left... i wasnt too fussed about losing it, but i wasnt gonna go to the bank and take more out.

rebet the same but upped stake to 35

it came in, i had about £4 on and over 10, few quid on 6's and 3's...

£180ish

rebet and spin, 11 rebet and spin 10 rebet and spin 8

last spin i took, id cleared the screen, still hadnt been a low red for about 20 spins, i used the £8 oddments on 0 5 7 9 and 12.... and it came in on 17...

walked with about £750.. bought a new tv from curries next door to the bookies on the way home... lol

couple on weeks ago
was in the casino, VERY VERY worse for wear, only went in with about 50quid:
straight to the roulette
bet on "my" numbers, split the whole 50 between them
came in about 3 times in a row... got up to about 250ish

my mate said concentrate, you're up, leave!, i was determined to win a bit more

50 on middle 12, lose
50 on middle 12, lose
50 on middle 12, lose.. shit, have to up the bet just to get money back!!!
75 on middle 12, lose
damn, not many chips left now.... all of them on middle 12.. lose

laughed about it to the croupier... fixed crap game....

walked over to my mate on the fruit's and said id lost the lot,
fished into my pocket and found £7 in coins..

put them into thet first machine in front of me.. the one with lemmings on it...
first press, nothing
second press... lemming feature!

machine went crazy... absolutely mental..

feature lasted about 15 minutes and paid £485

lol, good old fruit machines eh?

The comebacks are good but the period where it takes your money is not good.

I was playing the other day and one of my non gambling mates saw me with £50 in the bank and was like man thats crazy cash it in. I didn't admit I was £50 I said I had lost about £5. Thankfully I won it all back and another £50. They don't see the money to throw in just to win £20-£30 do they

One a while back from me. Playing a Bucks Bunny that was glowing, and I'd put £90 into it, and was down to my last £5 on me. Got down to needing one more shot for red BB (on my penultimate quid!) on a 4. Bugger it, I though, higher - 10! It went for £105. :) :) :)

Was expecting that lonely walk home (banks were closed / no cash machine availability), but ended up having a top night! :)

I've not let myself get into that sort of situation for a long time now though, as you say, it's a great feeling when you make a comeback, but the open-wallet surgery you go through in the first place makes it hardly worth it.

ive actually folded my wallet shut backwards before so people around me dont hear the velcro opening each time i put a note into the machine. only to get to being more than £100 into it and then get a few pots... clunk clunk clunk...

"mines a lager youth" comes the shout from some hippy dole scrote somewhere in the bar...

Last spin on a 5p machine £1 jackpot. 50p win comes in holds 4 times. Keep playing and manage to make about £8. Into the bookies and have a 10 Lucky 15. Three winners at 10/1, 12/1 and evens returns about £45 after tax (10%). Down the casino and £1 straight up and splits on 17 returns £108. Two hours later have won about £900. Doesn't quite out do the bad days when £3k lasts about an hour.

We all get to the point where we have one last quid/ bet and you had start and walk away knowing you’re doomed. Well I did that once on a Billy the Quid and although I was only £5 in I played it for about 20 mins up and down. As I played my last credit I hit start and the bell goes for last orders and a shout at the bar to drink up. Next things feature drops in with the flashing logo. Managed to get a red BTQ for £105. The Jukebox had just been switched off at this point so it was trying my best to catch the coins.

I was £800 down on a Haunted House Sec16, back in the bad old days! Some Twat next to me on a Samuri finally tells me he had £500 out of it earlier.
Well, were both playing on £10 a spin, he's wacking in the notes big time, as am I. The machines are linked to an pot, and all 3 pots are climbing quickly as were both on £10.
He gets the pot feature 3 times and gets stitched each time (£55, £60ish and a tenner once - which takes the piss when your on £10 a spin.
I finally hit the main feature and get £300. And from then on I kept on getting features every £100 or so.
I then get a few pot chances and take out all the decent pots - a gold at £480, a silver at £200ish and a straight £500

Long story short - finished 2.5k up plus all losses made back - over 3k in total.
And the twat next to me put over 2k into samuri next to me - what goes around!! Obviously I had a little play after him....

I went straight home to the missus nd gave her all the cash. I'd had a big win before (2k) and gone in the next day and spunked 1.5k straight back. So I didn't want to do that again...

Good subject well has any1 done this and please say yes because I still kinda do it and it infuriates me...

OK so ur days going a bit shit and everything just isn't playing how it should (i.e. Cluedo buzzin and costing like £50 for lines or even worse - just not going up...) then u take a kicking on a few reds and basically ur about £70 odd quid down.

Then.. here it comes - u end of having a few blasts on some pieces of shit and pay like tenners for boards etc and lose about another £60 (seriously)

Then realise what u r doing and carry on ur way. Only to hit some good scores and get home and to find out ur somehow like £90 up...

Then think well yeah nice 1 but if i didnt go on them fucking bellfruits i'd be a quite nice £150 up.

And I've done it loads as well. The worst is when say a DOND is next to u and some1 puts in like £7 with no board and walks off. You think - well he hasn't taken anything i can get a quick profit - only to pay like another £10 for a board with fuck all win. Argh!!!! :x

I think its a philosophy we all use Alpine - Why did I lose on the shite when I could of been so much more up?

The bottom line is, whilst you were losing here and there on the machines you were playing somebody may have been seriously been doing their nut on the machines you went to win on. And that person could have been YOU.

You've got to take positives out of negatives, and more importantly, you can't smash, or even win on every machine you play.

Wise words
I'm £500 up this month although I was £720 but I lost my discipline and blew £220 on a FOBT silly really. Now I try and win anything from £20 upwards and then I leave. They all add up and like you say you aint gonna win on each one.

I still don't get why people play on roulette though as I see people lose lots on them, its soo hard to win big on them unless the machine is ready to pay and you're very very lucky.
