Im not pointing the blame or anything but ive found with a lot of the less experienced players or just those who play for fun like at the weekends or watevr seem to always get sarcastic replies or just ignored. Ill admit this happens to me on this site a lot and im always told its give and take andyou dnt get anything or free and that i should pass on my own experiences first...fair enough i understand that and since realising my own faults ive started adding bits to threads bout how ive done on a certain m/c or watevr but my comments still either seem to get stupid replies or ignored. Im not having a rant i just think that maybe a more constructive reply would be better. Fair enough when people ask for cheats and emptiers even i think that is silly and annoying because no-one in the right mind would give that info for free even if they had the info!! but when i say things like oh by the way won £5 off a £1 last nite and i get sum1 take the mick bein sarcastic about i wonder if the entire point of the forum is for experienced players to take the mick out of new players. the whole point of this forum is to share experiences not get moaned at bcoz you ask something! anyone else experienced this? im not moanin i respect that all you experienced players have put the time an money in to learn a lot but i think sometimes just making chat and telling the odd bit of simple info would help all newbies a lot!

cheers Paul

Well said Pablo. I'm all for helping out newer players but anyone who expects emptiers for free is expecting a bit much from a public website like this. There are always going to be more helpful and less polite users on any forum. Overall I think we have a nice community here. If someone asks a complete n00b question they probably deserve an answer like use the search function rather than being told they are a fucking useless looser. It doesn't cost anything to be polite.

lol nice to hear a mod agreeing with me like you say doesnt hurt to just say use search. Although sometimes when looking for a specific m/c it can be easier to start a new post especially if its not a popular m/c. Like vamp it up that has loads of threads on it!so if anyone started a new thread on it that i would say fair enough or if someone has already tried searching then ok! lol i do find tho i always try and ask reasonable questions and dnt ask for anything like cheats or anything silly coz lets be honest thats wat evry1 wants no matter how experienced lol! but i still get plenty of sarcastic replies and even insults on rare occasions.

i think that newbies should be shot on sight, and that people who have played for a long time should give up

as i believe that everyone apart from me should lose money...

and thats exacly why i will try to offend everyone new into leaving straight away

its not like we're teaching people here!!!! we're trying to make money!

Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

As long as people know stuff other people who don't know stuff will try and get stuff off people who know stuff leaving the people who know stuff getting annoyed at people who don't know stuff when they are trying to get stuff. Everyone starts somewhere, I certainly didn't learn everything I know about machines (allbeit not a massive lot) without any help and probably asked some dumb questions too along the way.

Essentially, there are more important things to worry about in life than someone asking inappropriate questions on a fruit machine forum - I really don't see a need to be rude to people unnecessairly, but that's just me. If people bother you don't place yourself in close proximity of them and there will be no problem.

Pretty much agreed i'm afraid. I don't mind friendly banter with people, but if I just wanted that then i'd log onto MSN!

Admin - just a suggestion but have you thought if you could make it harder for disillusioned people to join the site and be able to post in the first place? I mean, if they have further questions to answer before member status is granted? e.g how long playing?which m/c's, how much staked? (any emptiers currently known?<laugh>)

And Pablo, please stop whining! your a big boy now!

err, i know something you could try....

open a newbies section/forum within what we already have in the index?,

any annoying (to us) posts could be moved into there, those of us that actually like to reply to them could then go into that section and reply and help them out without anyone else seeing the posts,

once the new people have something constructive to say then they will probably start posting stuff that doesnt get moved?

personally i think either that or shooting them would be best?

lol this is turning out to be an amusing thread! im not being funny here but id like to point out especially to king ( thats if its me he was referring to) that i do use the search function on this site quite a lot and find quite a lot using it and i only post a new thread if i cnt find the info i would like. i know everyone here is trying to make money but surely some things are just common knowledge that maybe newbies dont know. like was said above everyone has to learn somewhere and im sure everyone has learnt something using this site at some point or another whether its a total newbie thing or the latest emptier eg the one for lucky strike! all i ask is for people who want to reply to what may be classed as a silly or newbie question then do it and those who have sarcastic comments...just keep them to yourself...infact if they annoy you so much reading silly newbie questions just dont read them at all!! lol!

firefox you cant tell me to stop whining you seem to post a whining remark to every single post or thread i put on this site lol! and i also agree with spyders idea of having a newbies section would be quite a good idea. I know i dont know a great deal about fruit machines but some of the example questions king came up with i just found ridiculous because i know i do not ask questions that are as obvious or silly as those
