Where do I stand?

Post by redlinesman »

Ridiculous this. Was playing a top giza on friday which went empty for 70, but it wasn't really empty if you know what i mean. Anyway tried switching the machine on and off but still no joy, so the manageress takes my details and promises to phone me. Went in today expecting to collect my money but the manageress tells me that the engineer could find no problem with it and no money was recovered. Im absolutley fuming.

There is a dip switch setting on reds to clear the bank after a power on and off. Either that or you got stitched up by the engineer. I always take a quick video now of any iou, make sure you get the bar/pub scenery in and the amount as proof. Lost out on so many I got fed up with it.

Whatever you do with any machine breakdown do not touch the machine, Eg (switch it on and off)Get the manager/ess to witness the state of the machine IE:- the IOU,any bank, any alarm, any credits if shown. It's all right them asking for your contact details, but unless they are prepared to payout, ask them to sign and date a reciept for any monies/credits they have witnessed owed by the machine to you.If not it becomes your word against theirs,Also try to get the machine operators name and telephone number and inform them of the fault you experienced with their machine and that you have proof of your winnings from the site, Which also refused to pay you out for reasons unknown to you. Why?because in some IOU cases the engineer will report no fault found, especially if the machine is not actually empty. Why? because the engineer can if dishonest clear a hopper jam/reset the hopper level, close up the machine, then get the machine to finish the payout, collecting(your IOU) and pocket or share the winnings with the bent staff. Why?As the machine has payed out legally, the meters will register the cash out and all will be normal, and as the manager/ess has not payed you out there are no refunds descrepency to conflict with those meter readings.
I have caught and sacked engineers for that offence(theft).

Lol - Well, that serves you right for being a criminal. You might not realise it (and certainly be unlucky to be convicted for it (after all, its the UK)) but you are commiting a criminal act when you do that as you are tampering with the machine knowing that in this case, there is a flaw in the machine which will improve the chances of winning.

This scenario is totally different for someone that legitimately plays a machine and gets raped from poor maintenance or insufficent hoppers (125 red gamings spring to mind).

I cant believe I havent logged on in months and this is the first topic I came across.

Being able to afford it? Lol.

Whats that got to do with it? If you were out tooling you'd be able to afford to lose £7000 into it, let alone £70.

But even so, I'd still consider it a waste of money. I see no point in playin 10 cluedos to make £70 to just dump it into another fruit machine and risk a night in a cell.

10 cluedos to make £70? More like 5 or 6!

I only said that as i know there are people who get into a seething rage when they lose a few quid - let alone £70. I have a completely blasé attitude to both winning and losing, i'm pretty emotionless either way these days. Too much experience of both to get worked up. Anyway, it wouldn't have been a waste of money if it had come back on, I would have been looking at a nice big wedge of uppage with my free pots. Just a gamble that didn't pay off. Don't tell me you've never risked anything or else i'll call you a liar! As for a night in the cells - no chance. No one saw, and they have no proof i'd done anything untoward, other than that error message. I play the innocence card and they can't do anything. Easy.
