Freshly sited machines

Does a machine play better when they have been newly sited? I dont just mean brand new machines im talking about any of them. In the past i have done well from them in the first week or two, it may just be luck or they get hammerd and im on at the rite time.
For example a Jiggy Bank was put in the pub tuesday afternoon, i had a gander late on in the evening - first board £4 in for Streak which went for £13 then a recycle for feature which was left with £35 and MS which held the MS went for £40. It must of been in there no more than 6 hours and i cant see it having much if any play in that time. Was i just lucky?

I can remember a few occasions a new machine has player far nicer than what it did in the following weeks,
First time my local had a CYBTB the machine flashes for MS on feature entry, dont think i have seen it happen since, older machine same pub Crash bang wallop or clone jackpot actually repeats for me (never normally happens).
Could also be that as it is new the locals don't know how to play it and it is left in a more ready state when you come along though.

Look at extremes when they first came out, tops of DnN, RTB, MD etc always went flat for liek the first 6 months, then once the streak pots were filled, we started seeing 50/75s regularly.

I've noticed that a machine will play better when it's first in.

That's because the operator will put the percentage up 10-15% higher to make all the locals think that the new machine is far better than the old one.
It's somewhat akin to becoming a drug dealer and giving away the first hit for free.

Has anyone noticed how a lot of the +6% has seemed to disapear on a lot of fruits?

Yes it has. Maybe the bulb has just worn out with people playing it on 50p a go. That's it. The bulb has worn out. They're not lowering the %s, wouldn't happen, they wouldn't do that to us.
Or perhaps they're all on 98% 30p play, so can't afford that extra %. Tight sods. You'd think they'd have 104% 50p play wouldn't you?

I am more than sure this is the case! maybe only for a week or two but it does make sense.
