Yesterday, a couple of off-duty employees from our pub are having a few drinks after they'd finished work, a manager plugs £50+ into Caribbean Cash. Its absolutely flying, but he runs out of money, so has to stop. Another of the employees who never ever plays fruit machines (merely watches us all play them) decides to have a go with everyone around him (except the manager who's gone off to scout some more money) and whips a twenty into the notey. The machine mayaswell have been in IM...Hi/Lo was always going to 1's and 12's, superboard was churning out Lucky7s, and it was absolutely glowing red, so everybody was giving this guy a hand, because he had no idea what was going on. My manager comes back with a tenner...but on the last £2 of this guy's twenty, it triple megastreaks for £103, so he plays the last £1.50 in there...straight up on red boxes, bright red board again - collects booty for £23. He drops the entire £126 and walks off. I don't think i've ever seen a grown man cry before, but the manager was the closest i've seen. Poor bastard, bad enough blowing your load into a machine, but to watch it all come out again is harsh.

If your stupid enough to force a £35 machine with less than £100 on you then you've only yourself to blame when it goes wrong.

When forcing, I demand a £35 jackpot for a MAXIMUM outlay of £35. There is NO REASON why it should take more than this. The money is in there, so it should come back out RIGHT AWAY without DELAY!
That is why I always go out with a float of £35 and no more!
1st hit: Power 5. £14 for cherries. Lose. £1 for cherries. Win. Exchange. £1 cash shot awarded. 7 Box. 9 Box. Collect £1.
£14 for lemons. Win, exchange. Get the feature. There's some of the engineer's dandruff in a prominent spot. It's good news. 1p or £35? No deal. Hurrraaaaaayyy!!!
£29 in £36 out.
2nd hit: Show me The Mummy. This is giving three red features, so I know it's nearly there. Besides I now have £41 on me and no cash cards (never need 'em mate, never need 'em!). This machine can be a bit risky actually. That is why I played that Power 5 first. Sometimes this can take £36 or £37 to go in. It doesn't disappoint. It started off dead, blocking at £5, but quickly buzzed up and £30 in for a £70 top.
3rd hit: Cash Attack: The first board costs £31. No worries there. I know that the trick with this is to gamble to revolver. Pressing the buttons gently allows me to gamble there, but unfortunately I get too excited and stop it on 11 8 for £3. These things happen. Onto the next hit.
4th hit: Pie Factory 3. This is 2,1,2,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,4,2,1 starting, which means it's due on the cheese and onion pot. Sure enough it costs £10 to bake the perfect pasty and blag a sneaky pot. Steak and kidney should be ready tomorrow.
5th hit: Electrocoin's Magic 10. This is the most reliable of the lot. It has X X 7 on the line, so I know it's due. It costs £34 for a set of bars to roll in three times for £45.
6th hit: Grand Golden Game. I don't usually dabble in these as they are way too random for my liking. Anyway I saw a bit go in one which is now full (guaranteed win), so I pop in £34 exactly and it does a whistling noise. I take this and it rolls in bars for £35 - A great result! Not worth putting in the 10p for another play - it has JUST PAID £35 remember, so it's hardly going to take a credit is it? Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves.
I leave £55 better off. Then I see a Gold Rush. This is a solid banker. So it's
7th hit: Gold Rush. The trick with this is that if it is offerring £2/two or more rocks/Add again then it is there. £35 in and it hasn't offerred jackpot. This is a MACHINE MALFUNCTION. So I switch off the machine and pop in a claim for £105 at the bar. It should be there tomorrow. Even without it I'm £20 up. I don't understand these players who go out with £100s. What are you doing? forcing Slottos? You need max £500 to see these out. Even the terminals in bookies can be played out relatively cheaply.

best trick i ever learned was through the older internet chatboard daftnet.com, someone on there told me the best way is to put £3 in EVERY machine you see, and take the first win that takes you into profit..
this way, you can make between 25% and 100% profit every time (or occasionally lose the £3)

You can't beat scientific analysis of that calibre. I'll give that a go next time I'm on the rounds.

Completely agree with that, especially a Caribbean Cash.

Surely £100 isn't enough in 2008. More like £150 in coin and £200 in notes for worst case scenarios.

agreed, i would'nt risk it with just £100, even a flying red can take well over a ton, been £270 into a full and flying invincible before and finished level, luckily i had the coins to cover it.

It is quite alarming though isn't it - having to take the best part of £300 to feel at ease on a £35 machine. I take around £100 in coins and a cashcard (just in case) that I'd rather not use.

£200 float a day I take out, although I do start off on WIYB, Extremes and the panthers etc to make the £300+ to go playing reds and other stuff!
I take £400 to go and do a P5, now thats bad

Ever been £400 into the Power 5 before, knowing there is only £250 there for you?!?

never really been shafted that badly, been over a ton in, highly annoying those coins going over the back that you can never re-coup, hopefully get a good deal early doors and play with the bank before its full again.... well in a perfect world anyway, these are finished near me anyway, and was more than happy with the 6 months i got out of them, no doubt Anfields got a few spread around the country
