need to know if i need a licence for a Â£5 machine

hi everyone i need to know if i need a licence for a £5 machine in a laundrette, i have recently put a £5 machine in my launderette obviously this aint to take in alot of money from but more to take away the bordum while people wait on there laundry being done, does anyone know if i need a licence to put this machine in the laundry or can i get away with it as it is only 1 machine ?? its in fife scotland thanks in advance for any advice on this

Wouldn't imagine so, maybe you do, can't see it being enforced though.

c'mon the pars...im a pars fan myself, the laundereete is in glenrothes got a complaint from the local bookies so i thought id better check it out & thought all you's guys would know so decided to post

it gets a few on it while they wait on there washing & also the staff play it quite a bit so it does get a few, we also have a chip shop next door so they come in from there to play but they dont have 1 in the bookies so i dont really see there problem with the machine

There are hefty fines for this sort of thing - but it would take someone to report you for having it!

I think the main fabric of this thread is losing its condition. We should bounce along and forget it ever existed really. Ariel shame that its illegal though, how many daz have you had it in the launderette?

Wouldn't get yourself in a spin over it though, the cycle on the program of the machine will make sure you do well overall. Make a stand, and say it ain't goin', its stain!!

It seems a bit mean spirited of the bookies with the all conquering FOBT to get in a lather about a £5 machine.

That was my oar in the mix. By saying lather I wasn't entering into this punmongery that some people are surfing around with.

You need to check your legal status though, as no doubt some jobsworth might report you. Suds law isn't it? So best get it checked out.
