				Q. Is there a minimum percentage payout for a gaming machine?
Since 1 September 2007, under the Gambling Act 2005, there is no statutory minimum percentage payout for gaming machines but all machines will be required to clearly display the percentage return to players.

There never was. It is a common misconception that a payout of at least 70% was a legal requirement.

There was and is no legal requirement for payout percentages, however the trade body BACTA/ Gaming Board had a code of practice for payouts, Bingo clubs min 80% all others 70%. However companies within the industry did not always abide by them.

There's a reason companies don't abide by their codes of practice. It's because they're a pile of shite. How many people who actually program machines get to their divisional meetings to air their views? Standards made by 'suits'.
Try reading their guidance on note acceptors, where they blatently contradict themselves within one page of A4. Or the so called dataport protocol. Not a fucking clue.
Anyway - just my opinion. Carry on
