Yeah agreed what can be wrong with that, just dont use them!
I think ive only used them once since they came out.

Yes thats a good idea. Cause then you'll only have to wait an extra 3 - 5 days than usual for it to be ready again. A lot of people will not go to the bar for change but they'll shove a note in no problem. I've seen a Completly battered ON a ROll have £90 in notes plus loose change shoved in it during the 1st half of a footy match. Doubt there would of been £90 coins in the till to assist this.

can be true but in certain pubs when your going in and the fruits are 150 light you neb=ver know where your at, jam the notey come back and its 6 light you know extacly where the machine is at.
the good out weighs the bad in some pubs.

Sometimes they are about a thousandth of a millimetre wider than a 20 quid note..

Not that I'd ever think of fraud, but am just surprised that some people haven't: what do note changes actually 'verify' when they read a note? I'm guessing that they're 'state of the art' (well, in the world of recognition systems, anyway!), but you'd think that the right type of paper, with the correct bit of foil in it would fool it?
I don't 'hate' them, I just can't stand 'em when they will point-blank not accept a perfectly legitimate note.
Grrr...
Oh, and crumpled fivers, beware!!!
