Evening gentlemen!

I haven't posted for a while as I have been so over-burdened at work and home life has also had to take a bit of priority, but today, I managed to snare a day off (off 'til Monday actually, but!) and here is how it went...

I had £100 in my pocket when I left my abode this morning, and have come home with just shy of double that, after at least 10 pints, a chinese, a 'Favorite Chicken' for the kiddies, and a few tins for the fridge.

I got down to my last £2 on a Bucks Bunny, after only needing to Taxi to the two shots for a yellow BB after my first £3 in. Anyway, after much shenaninganagement (!) got down to requiring two more shots for red BB, and I was already on the two shot square, on a 3. Jacket was on, walk home was beckoning, higher than a three...










...4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

£105!!!!!!!

Proceeded up to the Warped, which has a knackered bonus button, and has done for the last three weeks. Put £20 in to this and walked away with £70. One £35 shot and one 'plain' Warped.

A few quid in a 30p/£25/70% OAR for a £25, and barred from a pub for squeezing a £70 out of a Holey Moley after £10 in and I'll call it a day.

Anyone else had that heartattack feeling of being down to your last couple of gold ones and then raking it in?? I'll admit, it was not pleasant at the time, but it darn sure makes you realise how important those few quid are afterwards!!!

Done it too many times, going down to your last few sheckles then somehow, amazingly breaking even, then some. Best good luck/fluke story for me is going into town with around £70 on me (stupid I know, but it was 3/4 years ago) and having a dog awful day, with just over a tenner on me I popped on the old BFG Snakes and Ladders. Anyway, £8 in I get a GATW, cool should be at least £50 but no, JP won and repeated all the way to £125 , an unexpected piece of good fortune, well deserved me thinks .

I think I ended the day around £60 up, plus beer and food.......but it really does ask the question : Why do we put ourselves through it :

I agree mate. Many a time i have been down to my last few nuggets, even silvers, and try and take my time spinning the reels (sounds a bit stupid!). The majority of the time i drag myself home in disappoinment, however once in a blue moon that last bit of shrapnel saves your ass!

Heh, I'll post a pic of the 'warning' they had up on the wall when I can connect my phone up. As a preview, it said:

"Professional machine players WILL BE BARRED, no questions asked!"

The woman behind the bar who barred me would not die if she didn't eat for at least four years anyway, but I managed to refrain from stating that fact to her as I 'cheerfully' walked out...

A notice up threatening to bar professional players? I would state cleary before playing

I did state that she could not enforce the rule, as I don't believe too many players carry their 'pro-license-player' card with them on most ventures...
