emptiers by accident

has anyone out there ever found an emptier or some machine bug by accident?

this was a classic one which got me barred from most arcades around town, ok so it doesn't quite fit into the catergory all the pro's on here and other sites would call emptiers but it was found by complete accident.

well as most people who visit these sites, myself included i just love playing feature machines as they usually take a little knowledge so of course thats the machines i play.
one of the arcades i frequented often, in fact virtually everday, was a place where a few of my friends worked as attendants so not only could you batter the machines but get inside info on who, how much and which machines had been loaded by munters which i found quite interesting as you can imagine.
in between all the chat i played the machines and everytime they got a new one in i like everyone else just had to have a bash at 'em. don't know if you lot also try it but i used to get a variety of different coins which the machines would take and of course try them in first to see if the mech was good or sligthly f*&ked up like they occasionally are. you know what i mean, like giving £2 worth of credit for a measly 50p coin or something similar. must admit tho there was a few times i came across machines which accepted 5p coins and gave credit for 50p which was also a bonus.

anyway back to the point, one fine and glorious day the arcade got LORD OF THE RINGS, COP THE LOT and JUST THE TICKET in all together which i can tell you made my eyes bulge as they were all feature machines. as you do i played all 3 (did quite well even tho i was unaware at this point of the up and coming emptiers) LORD OF THE RINGS 1st which played fair but not brilliant then COP THE LOT (which i emptied the usual way much to the managers disgust  ) then i slipped onto JUST THE TICKET, not fantastic but got more in the bank than i had put in but not much. by this point the attention from staff and other folk had worn off so i was left in peace to play it.
anyway when it came to take out the bank a funny thing happened, i pressed the collect button, kept my finger on it and wouldn't you know it the gorgeous little thing threw out twenty odd quid when only £8 had been deducted from the bank. strange i thought  so i tried it again and bugger me the machine emptied the hopper and i still had £18 in the bank. it sounded like a gattling gun to me but no one even looked round. obviously with all the noise from the other machines they hadn't heard it. anyhow, being smart i kept my gob shut and plowed in £20 and tried my hardest to not win anything else, took the bank out and scurried the hell off outta there. next day i went in expecting it to be turned off and get some grief from the manager but guess what, yep, not a word. this carried on for a few weeks, putting in a few quid, collecting the bank and emptying the hopper. after a week or so they must have figured something out because the button thing didn't work but STUPID arcade management as they are only had changed the mech from JTT to another machine which of course i found.
to cut a long story short i made a f*&king packet even tho' the mech was changed from machine to machine they eventually had found out exactly what was wrong with their beloved machines and got a new mech i assume. unfortunately for me tho' i got banned in the process, because they couldn't pin fraud on me or anything else so they came up with some piss poor excuse about watching people and concurrently i have been barred for life from all except one arcade around town.
so, my tip (even tho' i don't think i fit into the pro catergory) is try different things, i.e different coinage and stuff and maybe, just maybe you could find something similar.
p.s if any of you pro's out there have anything to add please feel free. :D

p.p.s if you have any good tips for juggling jackpots please pm me.

cheers

Furry muff, admitedly I was needlessly cunty, just the "my tip is try different things" got my goat for no apparent reason.

nice on eddie......this was the case on a lot of older machines that i've keyed too but over the last few years thay menu has gotten smaller as too many people can fleece the machine that way. another way which also worked on lots of machines was when it was in test mode. scroll through the menu and you could also find they payout via buttons 1,2 and three but most of the machines would flash the lights like a mo' fo' which kind of gave the game away. still i do occasionally look for the coin release like you do

A lot of the old JPM machines whilst in test mode would cycle through 10p payout, 50p payout, 20p token payout, then jackpot music, then back to 10p payout. Took ages to empty and everybody looked round when the jp music blasted out. Back in the days when they had a "Melon Meter" where two melons would pay anything up to jackpot.

Keep trying to read the original post, but can't get through it. if you break it into paragraphs and punctuate less randomly, I might, possibly, be able to make it to the end of you post, and see if there's anything interesting in there, as I'm sure there is something I can learn from it thank you.

At Rummers Wine Bar in Aberystwyth there was a jellybean machine that gave you around 30 jellybeans for 20p. The machine paid out from 1p pieces too. It got emptied.
