I've moved down to Oxford now, pretty good place but seems to be a lot more players though. Was out doing a pub crawl on Monday, (helps me to get to know the area

) and didnt really intent to play fruits due to low funds. I just had one go in the first pub, only £3 beer change, didnt expect to get a board. It was a Bellfruit Pots of Gold (the alternitive was Road to Riches which i would of prefered, but unfortuntely it was in use).
I got a board on the third pound, cool i thought. I'll gamble until i get a fiver, i'll either lose £3 or have a free beer. First spin - ? square - Out of Luck.........................
"This machine may at times offer a gamble where the player has no chance of sucess".
There was no gamble, just the 'no chance of sucess'. I shall now sue Bellfruit for £69 trillion. The crotch pheasants.

The laws dont dictate you HAVE to be offered SOME win at any point! thats precisely what the disclaimer is there for; eg reds 1 nudge, no win->dead

had this on a rainbow riches after taking £35 out. I played for another board and it went straight to question mark. so its not uncommon.
P5 can also do this when it gives you Super start. Super shot two boxes move mystery shot again two boxes move out to bonus then a 6 to question mark game over. Not as much as a pound offered.
4reeler can give you game over first move aswell stragiht to question mar.

Power 5 seems to love giving Game over when it's flying! It's as if it's grudging what it might be about to give you!

'This machine may at times offer a choice where the player has no chance of success'
This is an example of when this situation would take place on a hypothecital fruit machine.
You're on the lapper trail feature board. You've just landed on a Cash+1 square to bring your cash stack up to £8, the Game Over square is two positions away. You have a 9 on the number reel, which you may hi-lo on the square to take the stack up to the next amount which is £10. The machine does not want to offer more than £8 on this board, so if you go lower than a 9, it will spin a 10, 11 or 12. Go higher and it will bring in an 8 or lower. Spin the dice to go round the board and it will roll in a 2 to take you to Game Over and end the game.

However on a real fruit machine in a real arcade, you could just press the joker button, get no lose streak and hi/lo to triple cash for a bonza bonus of +9 for jackpot repeater. You could then use a sarcophagus or a pen to induce a repeat.
Guaranteed £70. This machine may at times pay out a lot of money.
Remember everyone's a winner!
Surely no one is losing?

the gamble was exchanging into the feature and not collecting the direct fruit win
