Why i hate mugs...

....and i'm not on about the ceramic type!

Wandered in to play one of the Vortexes here earlier, and some guy just had pot in his box on DOND WIYB. I normally have a quick board, but thought better of it today as i'd just seen that come out. Some other guy walks on, sticks all of £4 in, and get a 'this will be the most sensational game' flash for another £35. How unfair can you get! :x If that had been me trying a board, you know it would have been about £9 in for a dead third hit. Disgraceful.

* I don't have a problem with mugs winning (they have to or they wouldn't play at all), but stuff like that pisses me right off! :x

lol its unlucky isnt it. But ive got to say i'll probably be a mug in your eyes too cos all i'll do is go 5er in and if I dont double it, then it's just bad luck and I move on. The more you go for the JP the more you lose unless your mates with a barman at the pub or know when the machines get refilled.

Spoons is the easiest way of making money. Sit around and watch people chuck their change in whilst having a chat with a few mates then once 10 has gone in with nothing out, few quid in and take a bit of profit for the next :D

Hmm...the amount of times this happens even to experienced players. Basically a victim of discipline-you know this wouldn't usually happen, you know, or think u know you've had the max out of it, so you do the 'right' thing and leave. And Mr. Spawnscrotum turns up.

As somebody who reads virtually all the threads, this happens the rudest and most ignorant post I've read, especially coming from one of the more 'intelligent' members.

So what if some mug put £4 in and got an IM? From what I read I gather you never put a bean in it, therefore nothing ventured nothing gained and you wouldn't have complained if he put a ton through it or would you have been as kind to tell him it may be empty. :? :

Its happened to us all, We've all put quids in and fluked a flasher, wether its the first of three or the end of a streak and we may have lost on a m/c (hold on theres the I never lose bandwagon driving past! ) thinking theres no point in chasing for somebody to win what would have brought you even.

I don't go out of my way to annoy/upset people, and I'm probably playing Devils Advocate but it makes a change when a regular non-player throws in a few sheckles and wins big rather than someone who knows m/c's inside out and upside down emptying it.

MattB, it may pi$$ you off but the £31 profit wouln't of changed your life, would it? :)

these people need too play the machines too get them in a ready state for more clued up players too clean them out, it would of annoyed me if i had the chance too play it but turned my nose up like mattB did, but if someone gets a random flash then fair play. i would play any machine that someone walked away from after a flash even if i did'nt know how too play it, anyone can get the top feature from a flash.

One of the MOST ANNOYING things ever, anywhere, in speech or written script, is the chronic grammatical error of persons saying/typing 'wouldn't of'.

It is 'wouldn't HAVE' !!!!!

I.e. "would not of" now you see it typed without apostrophe, looks, and is, totally nonsensical

WOULD NOT HAVE
WOULDN'T HAVE

This stems from the less-educated hearing people say "wouldn't'ave" in certain speeds or accents and misconstruing it, repeating it as 'wouldn't of'.
David "ya know" "you know" "you know" Beckham'd be proud of ya.

Equally as annoying, on the fruit machine side not the grammer side, is when you walk in a pub with the choice of machine A or B to play.

You start with machine A, no sooner have you put a quid in then some plays machine B and they promptly drop it.
You in the meantime plough a tenner in on 50p mega without moving the reels :x and have to walk.

:x Why did I pick that one not the other one :x

Let's not turn this thread into something it doesn't need to be lads... ;)

Anyway, it wouldn't 'piss me off' but I would have to look at it with mild chagrin. ;)

The only type of 'player' that pisses me off, is the 'regular' who rolls in, doesn't buy a drink, but puts a pound in three machines without playing it, so as he can 'hold' them until he's finished on the first one. And the staff back him up because 'he's a mate' - now that rubs my surge-hairness the wrong way! :?

Cashino we could really turn this into a bitch fest couldn't/could not we?

What annoys me is I actually wrote 'wouldn't have' in the second sentence and wouldn't of in the last. :o ops:

Next time I will put either;

"I would not have done that dear chap" or

"I wouldn't have done that mate" or better still

"I wouldn'ta done dat laa".

:D

Just to keep the initial posting in proportion - I know that Mattb is not intending to portray 'casual punters' in the way that you're thinking - he knows as well as all of us that without these casual punters we wouldn't be playing machines ourselves. They are the very reason we have an interest in attempting to make money and/or demonstrate that we can limit losses on progressive machines.

I see it as more of an outburst against the principle of bad luck, than anything else - and damnit I agree with him!

Heh - I did put my asterisk disclaimer in the post (though to no use apparently :wink :)

It was more the fact what i said - seeing pot come out of a box win on DOND would surely ward everyone on here off, but someone gets spawn of the world for an IM! You just know if you'd have tried it yourself you would have got burnt 8)

I don't begrudge anyone winning....in fact im so little bothered i happily tell people whats around here to play. Not so heartless after all! 8)

Then Again and takes £12.........

On the last board I pointed it out and I got 'sorted' out £5er.

As it so happens lastnite I bought a red board on high flyer £25 for £20, no run tho :( and I probably could of go it a lot cheaper but I sorted of let it slip why I was buying it before I bought it!
